Shanghai International Studies University has several campuses, including Hongkou Campus and Songjiang Campus, with a total area of about 74.7 hectares.
Hongkou Campus is located in the center of Shanghai, adjacent to Luxun Park. The campus is exquisite, quiet in the noise, and there is also a sense of loneliness and beauty in walking. After the school was founded,/kloc-0 moved here in February, 950. Originally the First Hospital of National Jinan University, the former site was Zhi Zhi University (later renamed as "Zhi Zhi College") which was established in the 13th year of the Republic of China (1924). Hongkou Campus is now a training base for senior graduate students, international students and trainees. In addition to the teaching building, there are Shaw Library, Shaw Hall, Conference Center, Fitness Center, Guest House (International Student Education Center), Shanghai Foreign Language Education Publishing House, Shanghai Foreign Language Audio-visual Publishing House, Scientific Research Building and Printing House.
Songjiang Campus is located in Songjiang University Town, with a total area of 867 mu (about 57.8 hectares), which was built in succession from 2000 to 2003. Songjiang Campus is located in Songjiang University Town. It has been built for more than ten years, and the vegetation is growing gradually. Songjiang Campus is now a training base for junior undergraduates and graduate students. The teaching buildings designed and built according to the architectural styles of different language countries fully reflect the characteristics of foreign countries, such as the Oriental Language Institute with Islamic style, the English Institute with Victorian style, and the Japanese Institute of Culture and Economics with Japanese style. Its architecture combines the elegant characteristics of eastern and western countries, which set each other off in interest, or Islamic, Byzantine, British or Japanese styles, just in line with the multilingual characteristics of the school.

Introduction to Shanghai International Studies University Shanghai International Studies University, referred to as "Shanghai International Studies University" for short, is the first foreign language institution established after the founding of New China, one of the birthplaces of foreign language education in New China, and a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) and jointly established with the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. It is one of the first national "2 1 1 engineering" and "double-class" world-class disciplines. Selected as a national postgraduate project to build a high-level university and a scholarship institution of the China government to receive overseas students in China.
