What does a librarian mainly do?
1, responsible for the selection of some books, the evaluation of resources and materials, and the procurement of auxiliary books;

2. Classify books and periodicals, compile bibliographic indexes, and understand the main contents of books;

3, responsible for the management of each branch library, review the identity of borrowers, maintain the order of the library, and prevent books from being stolen;

4. Browse, query, count, add, delete and modify the basic information of book borrowers;

5. Register the purchased books, affix the collection stamp, mark the classification number, store them by classification, arrange the books and put them on the shelves to ensure that the books are arranged neatly and correctly;

6. For book borrowing activities, check whether the returned books are damaged or polluted, and deal with the damaged books according to regulations; Generate a book return report, urge overdue borrowers to return books, and impose fines on overdue borrowers according to regulations;

7. Dust the books regularly, and do a good job of fire prevention, insect prevention and moisture prevention;

8. Counseling readers to consult the collection catalogue and literature retrieval tools, and serving as assistants for literature research and bibliography editing;
