Introduction to Mao
Mao, 1929, a native of Ningbo, Zhejiang, Fenghua, party member of the Communist Party of China and party member of China Democratic Progressive Party. He is currently a professor in the Department of Cultural Relics and Museums of Zhejiang University, honorary curator of Zhejiang Museum, honorary dean of Liangzhu Museum, president of Zhejiang Old Professors Association, director of Zhejiang Historical and Cultural City Protection Expert Committee, and consultant of China Cultural Relics Society. President of Zhejiang Archaeological Society, President of Zhejiang Museum Society, President of Zhejiang Library Society, member of the 4th Zhejiang CPPCC, member of the 5th and 6th CPPCC Standing Committee, member of the 7th CPPCC, deputy director of the 8th Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee and member of the 9th the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC).

On the eve of the 60th anniversary of the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC) and the 4th China Heritage Day, the Ministry of Culture and National Cultural Heritage Administration awarded 2 1 comrade "Outstanding Person of National Cultural Relics Museum" who has devoted his life to China's cultural relics cause with outstanding achievements and high respect, and Mr. Mao was among them. During his tenure as a member of the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC), he made suggestions for the improvement of cultural relics protection legislation. With his efforts, many cultural relics have been preserved, such as Huqingyutang in Hangzhou, Fuyicang by the Grand Canal, Chen Gong Bridge West Historic Block in Xiaohe Street, Guo Zhuang in West Lake, Sha Menghai's former residence, Liu Dabai's tomb, Yuehu Temple in Ningbo, Zhang Cang's former residence, Qiu Jin Monument in Shaoxing, the ancient stage of Shengzhou Chenghuang Temple, the first floor of Xishan Mountain, the former residence of Wang Guowei in Haining and the Xiuzhen Stage in Wuzhen, Tongxiang, which have made great efforts for the cultural relics in Zhejiang and even the whole country.
