The National Library has more than 2.6 million treasures. By 2005, the National Library had collected more than 25 million books, including more than 2 million rare books with priceless value. Peking University Library has more than 8 million books, more than 7,000 Chinese and foreign newspapers and periodicals, as well as precious ancient books, epigraphy and rubbings.
