In order to more intuitively reflect the construction progress and preparations of the reception hospital in Wuhan, the reporter went to the "Wuhan living room" campus, the largest reception hospital at present, for an interview.
February 8, Lantern Festival. The gloomy sky in Wuhan for several days has finally revealed a ray of sunshine.
Under the impetus of the Central Supervision Team, as a key measure to treat patients with mild illness diagnosed in COVID-19, Wuhan, a number of hospice hospitals called "Life Cabin" have mushroomed in the three towns of Wuhan, following the footsteps of Volcano Mountain and Thunder God Mountain hospital, and are stepping up construction and opening.
In order to more intuitively reflect the construction progress and preparations of the reception hospital in Wuhan, the reporter went to the "Wuhan living room" campus, the largest reception hospital at present, for an interview.
At present, Wuhan epidemic prevention is at a critical moment, so it is urgent to cut off the source of infection!
Wuhan living room was once a cultural landmark of Wuhan. At present, it is just across the street from Wuhan Jinyintan Hospital, bearing the great trust beyond cultural exchange-treating COVID-19 patients.
Since the outbreak of new coronary pneumonia, the number of newly confirmed cases in Wuhan has been high, and a considerable number of mild patients have not been hospitalized in time. Their social mobility and family residence will increase the pressure of family and community infection and bring great hidden dangers to the spread of the epidemic.
How to make the mild patients isolated at home get centralized and unified treatment, how to make these patients live in, live in peace of mind, live satisfactorily and get effective medical treatment is an important task at present.
The reporter specially contacted Wang Chen, vice president of China Academy of Engineering and president of China Academy of Medical Sciences, Zhang Junjian, head of Wuhan Living Room Shelter Hospital, Ren Jingyi, vice president of Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University, and captain of Hubei Aid China Medical Team of Beijing China-Japan Friendship Hospital, and other experts, and walked into Wuhan Living Room Shelter Hospital with us to visit the hospital's preparation progress on the spot, to solve doubts and focus questions for the public.
In Wang Chen's view, opening a large-space, multi-bed refuge hospital is a major public health and medical measure to prevent and control the epidemic. Although the medical conditions in hospice hospitals are not as complete as those in regular hospitals, they can meet the primary needs of mild patients: being isolated from family, community and society to avoid the spread of diseases; Patients receive medical care, especially the ability to monitor their condition. Once the condition worsens, they can immediately transfer to a designated hospital for intensive treatment, which is far more convenient than going to a fever clinic from home.
The reporter saw that rows of medical tents and medical vehicles were placed in the living room square of Wuhan, which was an important medical security unit for the overall operation of the shelter hospital. It has outpatient and intensive care functions, undertakes the reception, diagnosis and initial diagnosis of new local cases, and is ready to receive patients at any time.
As an important exhibition window of Wuhan Airport Economic Development Zone, the living room building in Wuhan is huge, covering an area of about/kloc-0.5 million mu. The theme exhibition hall is divided into four ABCD halls. This time, the plan is to transform these four halls into temporary hospice hospitals for mild patients in COVID-19, which can accommodate 2,000 people at the same time.
"The basic configuration required for daily life here is complete, and more than 700 medical staff from all over the country escort patients." Gao Yongzhe, head of the command center of Wuhan Living Room Refuge Hospital, said that in order to regulate management and be responsible for patients, refuge hospitals should also check patients' symptoms and fill in medical records like normal hospitalization. "Hall A began to treat the first batch of 375 patients last night, from 6 o'clock last night to 3 o'clock this morning."
On the afternoon when the reporter arrived at the living room in Wuhan, there were 200 patients with mild illness admitted from the community waiting in line for testing in an orderly manner, and then they were admitted to Fangcang Hospital.
Zhang Zhiyuan Junjian told us that Hall A has ***6 14 beds, which have been put into use at present. Patients can have normal medical treatment and meals in it, and are equipped with basic supplies and therapeutic drugs needed for daily life. Charitable organizations have donated a large number of the latest and hottest bestsellers for the majority of patients, as well as special patient-friend mutual aid organizations and medical staff to serve you 24 hours a day.
Our party walked into Hall B, which is under preparation. In Wuhan, which is wet and cold in winter, there is not much chill in the hall. Most of the beds preset for patients are bunk beds, much like dormitories during military training in universities. The hospital specially arranged thick bedding and at least two quilts on each bed, added electric blankets, and specially prepared cold-proof and warm military coats, which suddenly added a lot of warmth to the empty venues.
In the medical staff's workshop and treatment preparation room, various medical equipment such as ventilators and defibrillators have been equipped and are being finally debugged. Some standing therapeutic drugs are also being put in. The bright red national flag and party flag complement each other, and the inspirational refueling posters of "Uniting as one, fighting the epidemic with one heart" are distributed everywhere, injecting strong spiritual strength into people who are looking forward to defeating the virus.
Eating in a hospice hospital is everyone's concern. Here, in addition to three nutritious meals a day specially prepared for each patient, the hospital has also set up a love food corner, where instant noodles, self-heating hot pot and other fast food are readily available.
After receiving the task of building a shelter hospital, many construction units in Wuhan, as well as medical teams from other places assisting Hubei, enthusiastically devoted themselves to the preparation of the shelter hospital. Ren Jingyi, a cardiologist from Beijing Sino-Japanese Friendship Hospital who came all the way to Wuhan for support, is one of countless "retrograde angels in white". She has been working in the front line of anti-epidemic for many days.
As soon as Dr. Ren Jingyi, a quiet doctor, talked about the treatment of COVID-19 patients, he immediately started the "professional mode" and clearly told us the detailed treatment plan and diagnosis and treatment plan for mild patients: Fangcang Hospital treated mild patients, and the medical staff checked, instructed oral medication and intramuscular injection. , and prepared some key medical equipment; If the patient gets better and recovers, he can leave the hospital after the test, and if his condition gets worse, he will be transferred to a designated hospital.
"Now the overall operation is smooth and orderly, and we will closely monitor the patient's vital signs. At the same time, our medical staff will also give patients a lot of communication and psychological support, so that patients have the confidence to overcome the epidemic. " She said.
Regarding whether there is cross-infection in society, Wang Chen said that cross-infection is not a prominent problem because it is a confirmed patient with the same pathogen. Before admission, in addition to novel coronavirus's positive nucleic acid test, influenza antigen screening will be conducted to avoid possible biosafety risks.
Wang Chen said that the possibility of cross-infection of other diseases among patients actually exists in any hospital and any community, and Fangcang Hospital has not increased this risk. What's more, the patients here are wearing masks. "As a simple measure in wartime, Fangcang Hospital can be built quickly in a short time, and large-capacity centralized treatment of patients diagnosed with mild diseases. It is very important for epidemic prevention to isolate patients from their families, units and communities, isolate the source of infection, cut off the route of infection and treat patients. "
Outside Fangcang Hospital, the mobile biosafety level III (P3) laboratory, which arrived from Beijing Starry Night at 2 1 hour, is undergoing final debugging and will soon be put into use for detecting infected nucleic acids.
Qi, director of the Institute of Pathogenic Biology, China Academy of Medical Sciences, who had just followed the car, couldn't take a break and immediately threw himself into the intense equipment debugging and preparation. He told us that due to the diversity of clinical manifestations in novel coronavirus, the detection of viral nucleic acid is still the most accurate detection and diagnosis method at present. The mobile P3 laboratory they brought will undertake the viral nucleic acid detection of patients in Fangcang Hospital of Wuhan Living Room, and can independently complete all the viral nucleic acid detection tasks before and after hospitalization, and adopt fluorescence quantitative PCR.
"This is a wartime state. We hope that the hospice hospital can become an ark carrying the health and safety of patients and their families, communities and society. " Wang Chen said that when there is a major epidemic in the country, we should work with the country and society to fight the epidemic and overcome the difficulties together.
"The establishment of the hospice hospital is a key measure in an extraordinary period, which is of great significance. I believe that we will be able to unite as one and win the final victory of this' war epidemic'. " ……
Wang Chen, who works day and night, is still asking about every detail with concern at the scene, constantly rushing about for patients' life and medical needs. Throughout the afternoon, he has been patrolling around to check the preparatory ward.
In Wuhan in 2020, this special Lantern Festival is destined to be unforgettable.
Beginning of spring has passed, and the spring is getting stronger. Patients from different communities are staying in Fangcang Hospital one after another, and medical support forces from many parts of the country gather in Wuhan. Behind the "small separation" of the families of many anti-epidemic personnel is the "happy reunion" of the national anti-epidemic forces.
At the end of the interview, a staff member of Fangcang Hospital showed us a video of patients relaxing, walking and dancing square dance in the ward. Some staff members quietly told reporters that some enthusiastic uncles and aunts in the ward have begun to arrange blind dates for single young people at home. They agreed to "arrange immediately" after leaving the hospital.
This is the breath of spring, which should be the most authentic taste of life in Wuhan.
Wuhan never stops. Let's go forward together and run against the wind.
