The first floor is the reading experience area, which is used to show the evolution of reading methods and document forms, feel new media and new reading methods, and provide interactive and scene-based reading experience and communication space. Users can freely access and use related resources here.
On the second floor is the parent-child picture book reading hall, which provides picture book reading services for children aged 0-6, carries out parent-child reading activities and implements interesting reading projects. Generally speaking, there are only two kinds of bookends, one is red, which means picture books, and the other is orange, which means low-grade children's books. Picture books are mainly classified into China Library Classification I, which is divided into Asian literature, African literature, Western European literature, French literature, American literature and Oceania literature. There is also a picture book shelf specially prepared for Poplan to thank Poplan Picture Book Publishing House for its strong support to the parent-child picture book reading hall. Note that books on this floor generally have no call numbers.
In addition, this floor has also set up a special area, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan bookshelves. The books in it are traditional Chinese characters, English picture books, and books specially for children. The books on this shelf cannot be checked out.
The third floor is a literature and art library area for primary and secondary school students, with special topics of Chinese and foreign literary masterpieces (introduction of international award-winning novels) and new books. The books on this floor are all Chinese Library Classification I and J, mainly children's literature, fairy tales and fables.
The fourth floor is the comprehensive books and periodicals area for primary and secondary school students, the multimedia reading area for primary and secondary school students and the audio-visual materials area. Books in the comprehensive books and periodicals area of primary and middle school students are mainly classified into categories G, H and K in China Library Classification. The multimedia reading area is equipped with multimedia reading equipment, and there is a special rack for graded reading in the south next to it. This special bookshelf divides books according to the level of users.
The fifth floor is the electronic reading room (information skills learning area), which is divided into adult area and adolescent area. The age limit is 18 years old. Before using the computer, users need to be authorized at the service desk to use it for 2 hours. At that time, users can get authorization at the service desk before using the computer.
The sixth floor is the language learning hall and multimedia appreciation area. There is computer equipment on the sixth floor, and the user is 14 years old or older. It is divided into three areas: A, B and C. In terms of age limit, area C 14- 18 years old, and areas A and B are not limited. The Language Learning Library provides lending and language training services for dialects and major language learning resources around China. There are new book shelves, audio-visual materials topics, language periodical lending area, language book lending area and language book reading area. There are some foreign books in the reading area of Chinese books. The multimedia appreciation area is not yet open.
The seventh and eighth floors are expert research room, exchange research room, information consultation center, book presentation room for Mr. Wang and Mr. Shi, Guangzhou Grand Ceremony and Guangzhou Historical and Cultural Research Base, which have not yet been opened.

On the first floor, there are self-service areas, leisure living areas, living areas for the visually impaired and other library lending and returning areas. Among them, the Leisure Life Museum focuses on the theme resources such as "Food in Guangzhou", "Beauty in Flower City", tourism and automobiles. The resources of leisure living area are periodicals, so it is marked as "leisure periodical area" in the museum. The lending areas of other libraries are empty shelves.
On the second floor, there is a newspaper area and general audio-visual materials, all of which are classified according to China Library Classification, and there are two special bookshelves, namely Berlin, Oscar classic film promotion and Shirley Temple classic film promotion. General audio-visual materials are mainly music, movies and television arts.
There is a special examination book area and document library on the third floor, in which the classification label of Chinese Library Classification is I0-I247.5/25000. In addition to the examination book area, there are bookshelves for new books.
On the fourth floor is the Literature Library, with the remaining Chinese Library ClassificationNo. I247.5/2600–I9. There are several special topics, namely, Xi Juan's novel shelf, Wesley's novel shelf, China Hundred Modern Literature Libraries, Hundred Marine Literature Libraries, Martial Arts Novels shelf, Mo Yan's book shelf and new book shelf. The foreign languages of European literature and American literature are placed behind the books of I5 and I7 respectively.
The fifth floor has a special library area and a comprehensive library area, in which the China Library Classification of the comprehensive library area is A-F, including: A Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought and Deng Xiaoping Theory; Philosophy and religion; Introduction to social science; D. politics and law; E military; F economy. Topics include the topic of new books and "My rights are my master"-the topic of legal rights protection. At the end of categories B, D, E and F of China Library Classification, there are foreign documents of their categories.
The sixth floor is the comprehensive library area of China Library Classification G-Q, including: G culture, science, education and sports; H language and literature; J art; K history and geography; Introduction to natural science; Mathematical science and chemistry; P astronomy, earth science; Biological science. I noticed that some H books are in the language learning hall on the sixth floor in the south. There is a new book theme on this floor. At the end of G, H, J, K and N categories in China Library Classification, there are foreign language documents of their categories.
The seventh floor is the comprehensive library area of Chinese Library Classification R-Q, including: R medical and health; Agricultural science; T industrial technology; U transportation; V aerospace and aviation; X environmental science; Z comprehensive books, with new book topics. At the end of categories R, T, U, V, X and Z in China Library Classification, there are foreign literature of its categories.
There is a multicultural center, a creative design hall and a reference book area on the eighth floor. Multicultural Center collects documents of relevant countries and nationalities, and conducts cultural exchange activities such as exhibitions, lectures, salons and forums based on document services. Implement the "Friendship Library" project and cooperate with the International Friendship City Library and foreign institutions in Guangzhou to carry out exchange activities. Creative Design Museum provides one-stop services such as borrowing creative design documents, displaying works, exchanging information and designing practice. Multicultural centers are divided into Europe, America, Asia, the United States, Britain, Germany, France, Russia, Europe, America, Africa, other countries in Oceania, South Korea, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Creative Design Museum is mainly divided into J and T categories of China Library Classification. There are many special books, and the bookshelves are specially designed for placing special books. On the ninth floor, there are Guangzhou Humanities Museum and genealogy inquiry center. Guangzhou Humanities Museum collects local documents and celebrities. Collect the writings, related documents and books of celebrities and famous families, and preserve and display the essence of local culture. Set up the "Window of Guangzhou" bookshelf to facilitate readers with different cultural backgrounds to understand the general situation of Guangzhou. Carry out regular special exhibitions of celebrity manuscripts, representative ancient books and local cultures. The genealogy inquiry center cooperates with ——FAMILYSEARCH International, the world's largest genealogy collection agency, to provide genealogy inquiry service worldwide. The theme of the exhibition is "Achievements of Humanities and Social Sciences in Guangzhou in the Past 30 Years". Guangzhou documents are kept in a mahogany cabinet with a lock. Besides Guangzhou literature, there are many interviews and books, such as the collection of Professor Jiang Boqin from Sun Yat-sen University, and the collection of Liu Yisheng and Liu Sifen's family. The documents displayed in the genealogy inquiry center are placed in mahogany cabinets, mainly including ancestral genealogy ceremonies, genealogy-related books, genealogy, places of interest, Chinese genealogy, Confucius genealogy and so on.
