The Party School of Guangdong Provincial Party Committee is located in Tangxia Village, Tangxia Town, Tianhe District, Guangzhou. Approved by the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government, the project started in July 1989 1. It is one of the provincial party schools in China decided by the Central Party School of China and the 19th National Congress of China Producer Party.

The school covers an area of 562,000 square meters with a building area of 423,000 square meters. There are six disciplines, namely, the first-class discipline of ordinary colleges and universities, social science two disciplines, China Party history, political science, social science general discipline and Marxism discipline. It takes Marxist theoretical education, United front education, party history education, political education and theoretical popularization education as its main tasks, and takes postgraduate education of leading cadres as its main feature.

The school has colleges (graduate department, Party School of Guangdong Provincial Party Committee of Central Party School, School of Theoretical Education and Open Education), research institutes (Institute of Political Theory and Institute of Social Sciences), centers (Education Center for Party History, Research Center for Marxist Philosophy, Research Center for Development Strategy and Policy, Research Center for Analysis and Decision-making, Research Center for Party Building and Political Information Center) and Party school libraries.
