This library is an ancient library in China. According to historical records, there are thousands of libraries in China, the most prestigious and influential of which are the seven libraries established in the Qing Dynasty:
Wen Yuan Pavilion: Located in the southeast of Taihe Hall in the Forbidden City, northwest of Donghuamen, behind Wenhua Hall. It was built in the 40th year of Qingganlong (1775) and collected by the Palace Museum.
Wenyuan Pavilion: Located in Yuanmingyuan, it was built in Qianlong forty years (1775) and caught fire in Xianfeng ten years (1860) when Eight-Nation Alliance invaded.
Wenjinge: Located at the foot of the northwest plain of the Summer Resort (now Chengde City, Hebei Province), it was founded in the thirty-ninth year of Qianlong (1774), and its collection was transported to Beijing in 19 15, and now it belongs to the collection of Beijing Library.
Wenshui Pavilion: Located on the west side of the Forbidden City in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, it was built in the forty-seventh year of Qianlong (1782). It is the most complete and least lost of the seven libraries, and it is now owned by Liaoning Provincial Library.
Wenhui Pavilion: Located in Daguantang (now Yangzhou City), Jiangdu County, Jiangsu Province, it was built in the 45th year of Qianlong (1780) and destroyed by fire in the 4th year of Xianfeng (1854).
Wenyuge: Jinshan Temple, located in Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province, was built in the forty-fourth year of Qianlong (1779) and destroyed by fire in the third year of Xianfeng (1853).
Wenlan Pavilion is located at the southern foot of Gushan Mountain in West Lake, Hangzhou. It is the only one of the three pavilions in Jiangsu and Zhejiang. Founded in the forty-seventh year of Qianlong (1782), it was destroyed in the eleventh year of Xianfeng (186 1), and some books were lost. It was rebuilt in the sixth year of Guangxu (1880) and now belongs to Zhejiang Library.
