-A brilliant series of books starting with The Throne Game. I have nothing to say except reading. As we all know, the best fantasy series ever. Martin writes brilliantly, skillfully compiling complex plots into a harsh and even cruel world, which is completely filled with gray characters, rather than traditional black and white. This is a big chess game across the European continent. The chess pieces are kings, illegitimate children, knights, wizards, women and children. The uniqueness of this series lies in Martin's interest in knives and axes of important people. That's right. No one is safe under the author's lasso. Although the main characters alternate, the plot line continues to be stronger. Are you tired of walking through flames unscathed, falling from 100 feet without any damage, and resisting the protagonist of superhuman creatures with the same strength as tickling your other hand? Then this series will be your choice. The completely unpredictable plot makes you experience a pleasant experience. Do you dare to predict winners and losers? If you haven't read this series, go to your local library or bookstore to look for it.
2. Robert Jordan's Time Wheel Series
The wheel of time flies, generations cycle, and dusty memories become legends. The legend is dim and hidden into myth. When the era of rebirth returns, the myth has long been forgotten. The third era, the era of prophecy, the world and time are turbulent. Past, future, present, or has come in the dark.
I dare say seriously that Jordan is the king of fantasy, if not in the complexity of the plot, but also in the total number of pages. This monster fantasy series spans 13 books (each with at least 700 pages). Jordan is a skillful writer who can inject the tension of drama into any aspect of his world. Lots of political intrigues, power struggles, sexual struggles, a fully considered magic system (probably the best of all fantasy novel), a world depicted by countless details and outstanding people. There is a reason why Jordan became the number one fantasy seller. He is one of my favorite authors, and I bet if you try him, you will feel the same way. A word of advice: Many readers are tired and annoyed by Jordan's procrastination, so if you start reading, you'd better realize that you have to wait for the remaining two books. If you like Tolkien, you will probably like Jordan.
3. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings
-Do I need to say it? The father of modern fantasy, the re-creation of English mythology, is a peak of English literature. The Lord of the Rings is not just a fantasy.
4. The Kingdom of Thorns and Bones, by Greg Keyes
Last year, Keith shocked the fantasy world with his excellent serious fantasy novel The King of Roses. This guy is a master of English. His writing is wise and beautiful, just like Oscar Wilde who collaborated with J.R.R Tolkien. His plot is tortuous and there are many interesting characters (the dialogue is wonderful and often interesting). His world is bleak-though not as good as Martin's. Keith absorbed the old fantasy routine and gave it new content. I can't fully recommend this series.
5. R. Scott Buck's "Darkness Has Arrived"
In a world full of fanatical religious believers, the first novel Darkness Coming by Canadian novelist Barker is excellent, which is characterized by first-class description, dark plot and epic lines like Steven Erickson. This story will make you tighter than a vice. His second book, The Warrior Prophet, continues the incredible high standard of the first book. There is no doubt that Buck has proved himself to be a top fantasy writer.
6. Kate Illiott's "crown of stars" legend
-the first book is the dragon of kings. Complex politics, elaborate magic system, collision between belief and secular power, an inevitable disaster is imminent, long-lost creatures walk on the earth again, great characterization ... Can you ask for more from a fantasy legend? Plot? Good enough for you to read.
7. Sean Russell's Swan Wars Trilogy
-The first part of the trilogy is One Kingdom. Excellent work. Russell has a gorgeous style. Gorgeous to be more like poetry. His world is full of mystery and beauty. Many times, fantasy books have the problem of excessive magic, but in this case, it soon becomes meaningless-whoever simply masters new power can resist stronger villains, and so on. Russell chose to keep magic mysterious and rare. If you want to read a book and make you fall in love with its wonderful, passionate and extreme plot, then choose this trilogy.
8. Patricia A. McLip's trilogy The Mystery of the Stars
-Starting with Hyde the Rider. This trilogy was once everywhere, but it doesn't mean it's not worth reading. This is a classic that any fantasy lover should read, such as The Lord of the Rings.
9. Robin Hood's Assassin trilogy, Lifeboat Merchant trilogy and Tea Man trilogy.
Without exception, Hubu is the best character writer. Her role is lifelike, jumping out of the page and entering our minds like a real person. She mercilessly made her character suffer, a terrible disaster. I never thought that the tiger step would have anything to do with the mechanical god (a powerful person or event without foreshadowing in the plot appeared at a critical moment to solve an unsolvable problem). If her protagonist falls into a trap, there is no mysterious air cushion to protect him from falling. No, the protagonist will hurt her leg and even her wrist. Huber also created interesting magic systems and fascinating plots. You will shout and laugh at the fact that her characters have overcome difficulties.
10.JV Jones' Shadow Sword Series
-Starting with "Black Ice Cave". Cruel, cold fantasy has a ferocious beauty. This incredible trilogy is full of goodwill. The characters are well described. Jones, like Robin Hood and Martin, didn't give her heroes special privileges. This is destined to be a fantasy of swords and shadows. In recent years, Jones has really played her own level, and Sword of the Shadow has become her masterpiece. My only complaint is that it takes too long to publish the next book.
1 1. Jennifer Fallon's second trilogy-Huang Huang's masterpiece! Starting with Slater the lion.
12. E.E. Wright's "Blood-sucking Earth"
I dare say that this fascinating legend will consist of many books. Each one continues the story of Valentine's Day.
This series depicts a dark, apocalyptic future world, ruled by blood-sucking aliens, and human beings exist as food and blood banks. This is no ordinary novel announcement revelation. Knights are very common, almost reminiscent of epic fantasy world. But don't get me wrong, this novel is not limited to one genre, it has elements of horror, fantasy and science fiction. This is a terrible hell, it will stay nervous in the dark, from the time you open the book to rubbing your eyes at three in the morning. ...
13. ted williams's Memory, Sorrow and Thorn Series
Memories, Sorrow and Thorns is the Williams version of The Lord of the Rings. No, as I said before, it's not a clone, and it's very different-for the better, of course. Williams' role-building is first-rate. You can travel with young Simon, from children to adults, from kitchen attendants to heroes. This book has a heavy plot, or it often crawls at the speed of snails. However, this series is an unadorned treasure and a must-read for fantasy fans.
14. Ursula Le Quinn's trilogy The Legend of Earthsea
-Starting with the Spirit of the Earth and the Sea. This is an excellent costume drama, surpassing the ordinary mill boy and becoming a wizard to save the world. The description is so wonderful that you want to marvel; The story is equally fascinating, and you will never feel that you bought it wrong. They are the kind of books that you can read again and again. They are touching, wonderful and occasionally sad. This trilogy is one of the representative works of fantasy literature.
15. Steven Eriksson's "Soul of Maraz" record.
Since Tolkien, fantasy has rarely changed, and it is often maintained in a way reminiscent of Tolkien's original works. Well, I dare say frankly that Eriksson's series is revolutionary. There is no greater fantasy than Soul of Maraz. His legendary story combines military and epic fantasy. Eriksson mixed the epic scenes of Greek mythology, such as The Best George Raymond Richard Martin and The Odyssey, with perfect description, epic plot, cruel reality and charming gray characters. There is one word to describe it: it was born.
