The opening ceremony of the National Art Foundation's 2023 annual communication and promotion funded project "New Era beautiful countryside Farmers' Painting Exhibition" was held in the lecture hall of Weifang University Library.
In his speech, Vice President Li of Weifang University expressed his gratitude to the leaders and guests who have long cared for and supported the development of the school. He pointed out that peasant painting is a flower of local art developed in the long history. Nowadays, more and more professional artists are also involved in the creation of this kind of painting, which promotes the creation of peasant paintings to present a new atmosphere. Weifang College has made unremitting efforts to promote the development of local art. After years of practical exploration and efforts, the Academy of Fine Arts has successfully obtained the approval of the exchange and promotion project of the National Art Fund with the school as the main body of application.
This is an affirmation and encouragement of the creative ability and comprehensive artistic strength of the teachers and students of the Academy of Fine Arts, and also marks a solid step in the scientific research work of the Academy of Fine Arts.
At the meeting, Dr. Dong from the Academy of Fine Arts (Jinshi Painting and Calligraphy Institute) introduced the basic situation of the project as the project leader, and the participants watched the publicity video of the project together.
Professor Wang, deputy director of the Art Museum of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, special expert of the new era beautiful countryside Farmers' Exhibition Project, associate researcher of the Art Institute of the Chinese Academy of Art, deputy secretary-general of the Chinese Art Anthropology Society, secretary-general Wang of the Academic Committee of the New Era beautiful countryside Farmers' Exhibition Project, member of the China Folk Artists Association, the fourth batch of Qilu cultural stars and Weifang arts and crafts master Mr. Li spoke at the opening ceremony.
Teacher Ma, a member of Shandong Peasant Painting Art Research Association, vice president of Qingzhou Peasant Painting Association and top ten peasant painter in Qingzhou, donated works to the school.

Leaders and guests attending the meeting came to the school art museum and watched the "New Era beautiful countryside Farmers Art Exhibition" on display.
The symposium on "beautiful countryside Farmers' Painting Exhibition in the New Era" was held in the conference room of the school gymnasium. At the meeting, the history, practical innovation, main features, cultural values and social and cultural services of peasant paintings in the new period were discussed.
The National Art Foundation is the highest-level fund in the current artistic creation projects, and it is also called the "Three National Funds" together with the National Natural Science Foundation and the National Social Science Foundation, aiming at prospering artistic creation, creating and popularizing masterpieces, cultivating artistic talents and promoting the healthy development of the national artistic cause.
