Essays for American Students —— Yale Library and Postgraduate Dormitory
The library is often the most prominent landmark of a university, either grand or solemn, and it is the precipitation of a school's history and culture. Yale University has the second largest library in the world, among which Sterling Library and Benec Library are the most distinctive. The former is famous for its large collection of books, while the latter is famous for collecting precious manuscripts. The two libraries closely related to my life are Bath Library and Engineering Library. Bath Library is built underground and interconnected with Sterling Library. The library attracts the most students, because the library is equipped with a group discussion room and a study room, and with good sound insulation and comfortable seats, it provides good self-study conditions for students. Engineering library is a frequent place for engineering students. It is a purely engineering library, and you can feel a strong engineering atmosphere as soon as you enter. It is located next to Watson Hall, the main building of computer department, and the very close distance provides great convenience for our computer department students. In addition to a wide variety of books, the Engineering Library has another feature, that is, the Becton Center where it is located is completely different from the whole Gothic architecture complex of Yale, and it is a completely modern building.

Student dormitory is often one of the most concerned topics for international students. Living in Sri Lanka and ending there will always have an unforgettable memory of studying abroad.

The Graduate School (HGS) is specially built for graduate students. It is not only a dormitory for students, but also the location of Yale Graduate School of Humanities. This is a Gothic building built in 1932. Being in it is like living in an old castle. HGS is located in the center of the campus, close to the Law School and Sterling Library, which brings great convenience to our study and life. Like other dormitories, HGS has its own complete facilities, such as dining room, piano room, computer room, laundry room, recreation room, student kitchen and common room. Although there is no independent gym, Yale's gym is next to HGS, so it is not difficult to exercise more.

Studying at Yale, besides books and accommodation, there are many details that bring us pleasure and surprise all the time. Although the road to study is arduous, it is also an unspeakable happiness to be immersed in the unique historical and cultural atmosphere of this century-old prestigious school.
