Du Dingyou is a librarian in China. Originally from Nanhai, Guangdong. /kloc-0 was born in Shanghai on October 7th, 1898, and died in Guangzhou on March 3rd, 1967. Du Dingyou is one of the founders of modern library cause and modern library science in China, and one of the few theorists in the history of library science in China and even in the history of Universal Library. He has made outstanding contributions in many fields of library science, especially his theory of library science with China characteristics, which was formed by integrating eastern and western library science.
