Students or workers usually have no more time to study or work, so it is more targeted to use Sunday to go to the library to study and consult materials. This shows that the study or work of reference materials is more active, serious and responsible, and its effect is mostly excellent; It also shows that the library has played its due role.
But to my great regret, there are very few people reading newspapers and books in a city library. There are always a few familiar faces, and even fewer people "use Sunday to run the library and consult materials", so that those good books are covered with dust (I have cleaned them many times)! It's been five years since I left that environment, but I'm still not happy to think about it now, although I have consulted a lot of materials from them (the references cited in Guo Dunqing's blog Goldbach's conjecture proof of China, the road to a strong country in mathematics, the mathematical program-micro-mathematics and macro-mathematics, the solution of Euclid's geometric parallel problems, and the reduction to absurdity-a living universal axiom).
My current residence is far away from the city, and there are few opportunities to run libraries and big bookstores, which is a great loss for me. Fortunately, in today's Internet age, most of the information people need can be found online, which is very convenient. I have benefited a lot and more than compensated for my losses. However, I always miss the beauty brought by the library!
