You can apply for a card refund. Readers who have lost their reader's card or whose reader's card has expired for more than one year can apply for card refund only after being approved by the department head. The reader's card is valid for two years, and expired readers can bring the reader's card and valid identity documents to the main service desk for verification.

Extended Reading-Notes for Readers in Historical Literature Reading Area;

1. There are three reading rooms in this area, including ancient books, books and periodicals of the Republic of China, and Sikuquanshu series, which provide indoor reading services for readers of historical documents.

2. Before entering the reading area, please store the articles unrelated to reading in the parcel storage place and turn the mobile phone to the mute state.

Please show your ID card when you enter the reading room, and you can read it only after you register. To read rare books of ancient books, in addition to ID card registration, you also need to show a letter of introduction from a scientific research unit, and you can read them only after approval.

4. If you need to bring relevant materials and equipment into the reading room, please explain it to the staff at the time of registration and bring it in after permission.

Please fill in the book list before reading, provide accurate book title and call number, and give it to the staff. Ancient books are limited to 3 volumes at a time (no more than 20 volumes), and books of the Republic of China are limited to 5 volumes at a time (no more than 10 volumes).

6. Books that have been digitized, microfilmed and photocopied are no longer available for reading. Refuse to read badly damaged books.

7. After receiving the book, please check it carefully. If the original book is found to be missing pages or defaced, it should be reported to the staff in time for filing. Please return the book to the staff after reading it, and leave after the experience is correct.

8. If you need to leave the reading room temporarily during reading, please return the book temporarily.

Please take good care of books, keep your hands clean when reading, and use pencils when extracting documents. In case of defacing, smearing, tearing pages, stealing, etc., it shall be handled according to the relevant regulations of our library.

10. If you need to copy relevant information, please give it to the staff, and don't take photos by yourself. Books and periodicals shall be reproduced in accordance with relevant regulations, and the amount of reproduction shall not exceed 1/3 of the content.

1 1. Please consciously maintain a good reading environment, don't talk loudly, and don't answer the phone in the reading room.

12. Smoking and naked flame are prohibited, and inflammable, explosive, toxic and other dangerous goods are prohibited. In order to protect documents, please don't bring food and drinks into the reading room. Please put the water cup away from the literature.

13. Please take good care of your personal belongings. If you lose them, you are responsible.

14. This reading area is not used as a study room.
