This paper introduces the emergence and development of digital stories abroad, and takes the Shanghai Female Teacher Story Contest as an example, focusing on the production and evaluation of digital stories.

The amount of information is large and easy to obtain, and its value is correspondingly reduced. Who can organize information, make it have a contextualized environment, and express it emotionally is extremely important, which is the sense of story. Storytelling is an ancient art, like other art forms, it can also keep pace with the times by relying on modern science and technology, and digital stories emerge as the times require.

First, the origin and development of digital stories

In the early 1990s, Dana Winslow Accili, as the initiator of digital stories, made an autobiographical film with her old photos and her own computer narration, which was well received by everyone. Later, Accili and his friend Lambert began to help others tell their personal digital stories. More and more people began to devote themselves to this creative form. The first digital media center was established in San Francisco, which is now the Digital Story Telling Center (CDS). 1 1 At the end of June, 2002, representatives from 8 countries and 25 states in the United States got together and established the Digital Storytelling Association. Since then, digital stories have quickly swept the world.

After fully understanding the story behind the digital story, you need to organize your story well.

Therefore, the author thinks it is necessary to add a column of overall evaluation and combine subjective and objective evaluation to make our evaluation more rational. The most important thing about digital stories is the expression of emotions. A story that can attract the audience and arouse the audience should be a successful digital story.

Third, digital stories need to be redesigned.

"Expo Charm, Beauty of Teachers' Morality —— Stories of Shanghai Female Teachers" PPT Design Competition covers 28 universities and 39 primary and secondary schools in Shanghai, and is the most extensive and successful digital story competition held in China. Through this competition, the PPT level of Shanghai frontline teachers' art design has been improved as a whole, and digital stories have been truly promoted and practiced in the field of education for the first time. At the same time, it praised the lofty professional ethics of outstanding female teachers in Shanghai in a novel way, gave a spiritual baptism and a love education to the employees of Shanghai education system, and played a certain role in promoting the comprehensive quality of teachers. Although some works have reached a high level in story content organization, PPT structure, screen art design, music processing and PPT technology, there are still some shortcomings in the works collected in this competition: the focus of the story is not prominent and there is no touching theme; The pattern of empty rhetoric has turned digital stories into work summary reports; The hero of the story is described as "tall and complete" and lacks realism; The unreasonable use of pictures, background music, narration and animation has become a disturbing factor. I participated in the whole process of the competition and also participated in the design and revision of some excellent works.
