Kunshan Open University is a junior college with few books. Kunshan Open University has been successively rated as a national key vocational school, the first batch of four-star secondary vocational schools in Jiangsu Province, a high-level demonstration secondary vocational school in Jiangsu Province, an advanced unit of vocational education and social education in Jiangsu Province, and an advanced collective of moral education in vocational schools in Jiangsu Province.

Kunshan Open University, sponsored by Kunshan Municipal Government, is located at No.88 Chenfeng West Road, Yushan Town, with superior geographical location and convenient transportation. The school covers an area of 220,000 square meters, with a building area of 6,543,800 square meters and a library of 93,500 books. There are 255 faculty members in the school, including 24 full-time teachers1person, double-qualified teachers 103, 8 famous teachers above the provincial level, and Suzhou municipal backbone teachers 18.
