1. The land for cultural facilities refers to the land for public cultural activities such as books and exhibitions, and belongs to the land for public management and public services. Land for cultural facilities can be built into public libraries, museums, archives, science and technology museums, memorial halls, art galleries, exhibition centers, comprehensive cultural activity centers, cultural centers and youth palaces.

2. Legal basis: Article 24 of the Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) on the Protection of Cultural Services.

The state promotes the management units of public cultural facilities such as public libraries, museums and cultural centers to establish and improve the corporate governance structure according to their functional orientation, and attract relevant parties, professionals and public representatives to participate in the management.

Article 25

The state encourages and supports citizens, legal persons and other organizations to build, donate or cooperate with government departments to build public cultural facilities, and encourages citizens, legal persons and other organizations to participate in the operation and management of public cultural facilities according to law.

Second, how to correctly treat the land for cultural facilities

The measures to correctly treat the land for cultural facilities are as follows:

1. The land for the construction of public cultural facilities shall conform to the overall land use planning and urban and rural planning, and shall be examined and approved according to legal procedures;

2. No unit or individual may occupy the land for the construction of public cultural facilities or change its use without authorization. If it is necessary to adjust the construction land for public cultural facilities due to special circumstances, the construction land shall be re-determined. The adjusted land for the construction of public cultural facilities shall not be less than the original area;

3, new construction, renovation and expansion of residential areas, should be in accordance with the relevant provisions and standards, planning and construction of supporting public cultural facilities.
