2. The historical evolution of Hunan Normal University.

National Teachers College was founded in 1938, and its origin can be traced back to Yuelu Academy founded by Zhu Dong, the satrap of Tanzhou in the Northern Song Dynasty in 976.

1938 10 10 On October 27th, the Ministry of Education of the National Government established the National Teachers College in Lantian Town, Anhua County, Hunan Province, with Liao Shicheng as the principal and many famous scholars gathered here, including Qian Zhongshu, Pi Mingju, Meng Xiancheng, Chen, Gao Juefu, Chu Anping and other famous scholars.

1944. The college moved to Xupu in the west. 1946 After War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression's victory, he moved to Nanyue Town, Hengshan County. 1At the end of 949, the Teachers College for Nationalities was merged into Hunan University and moved from Nanyue to Yuelu Mountain in Changsha.

1August, 953, the departments were adjusted, Hunan University was abolished, and Central South Institute of Architecture and Engineering (now Hunan University) and Hunan Teachers College were established, among which Hunan Teachers College was based on the National Teachers College.

Including China Language and China Education Department of the College of Original Education of Hunan University, History Department of the Academy of Social Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology Department of the Academy of Natural Sciences, and Chinese, History, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology majors of Normal University.

At the same time, some students from the Education Department of Nanchang University, the Faculty of Law and Politics Teachers College, the Biology Department of Henan Pingyuan Teachers College and Tsinghua University, Nanchang University, Northeast Normal University, South China Normal University and Pingyuan Normal University were also merged into Hunan Normal University.

All the historical archives of the former Hunan University are kept by Hunan Normal University, and Yuelu Academy is managed by Hunan Normal University. The former Hunan University campus is divided into two buildings, the south of the road is Zhongnan Institute of Architecture and Engineering, and the north is Hunan Normal University. The college has 6 subjects in 7 departments of Chinese, history, education, mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology in China.
