Girl, I came alone and volunteered to participate in the 2020 Western Plan. Her service ended in July without renewal. If the subject is still hesitant to participate in the western plan, I personally suggest not to come. In many answers related to the western plan, it is mentioned that the western plan is only suitable for the following categories of people:

1, single-minded test. After the service expires, you can apply to be a four-project personnel, and the competition is relatively small.

2. Want to take root in the frontier.

3. Have the spirit of volunteering, want to experience life, have no financial burden at home, and are confident that they can find a job after going back for a year or two.

4. The family conditions are excellent.

My own feelings: I don't regret participating in the western plan, but I will try my best to convince my brothers and sisters who want to come.

During the interview, the teacher repeatedly confirmed whether your parents agreed or not. Will you definitely go after you are admitted? From here, we can see that participating in the western Canada project is by no means as simple as "doing something you will never forget in a short period of one to two years" as stated in the declaration. This year or two is the golden age for you to enter the society. If you miss it, you will miss it.

The planning of the western region is very arbitrary. In terms of admission, the number of places allocated by each school in each province is different, which determines the intensity of competition. Those of us who serve the same place, some come from hundreds of miles away, and some come from the passing line. After being admitted, different service units are also very different, with luck and misfortune. The service unit determines your mood this year.

Living allowance > Xinjiang Autonomous Region = Tibet > other regions. Corps volunteers are not divided into several regions every month, but the competition will be fierce, because the Corps only recruits about 600 national projects every year. Last year, our school was about 20: 1.

Living conditions, windy and dusty, a day without wiping the table is full of dust; The climate is very dry, often on the edge of nosebleeds, the infrastructure is average and the quality of house decoration is poor. We have experienced tripping, short circuit, floor heating leakage, sewer not opening and so on. And it is necessary to cut off water and electricity three or four times a month; Wide roads, few pedestrians and improved infrastructure year by year; The sky is blue, and there are many desert scenes that can't be seen on the mainland; High price and slow logistics.

In terms of work, it is very important: there is a shortage of people here, but there is no shortage of you here.

Most senior leaders try their best to keep you here. The idea of your immediate leader may be: after you leave, a crop of college students will come.

In addition, there is only ideological poverty here, and the state gives great support here every year. If local residents are willing to do something diligently, they will actually live a much better life than many farmers in the mainland. Most of the things that make their life difficult are dou who can't afford it.

In all fairness, the Youth League Committee of the Corps takes good care of the volunteers of the Western Plan. We didn't default on subsidies, reasonable accommodation arrangements and holiday condolences. Therefore, if you are determined to participate in the western plan, then try to join the Corps and at least ensure a basic life.

However, the atmosphere of the Corps' overtime work is very heavy. The working hours in Xinjiang are from 10 to 8 pm, which gives me the feeling that I have to go to work when I get up, and I have to prepare for washing and sleeping when I go home at night. The amount of overtime has a lot to do with work. Some work overtime all the year round, and some work overtime periodically, but overtime is inevitable.

Back to the above, who doesn't recommend coming here:

1, can't stand the endless life here (because what music facilities are set here, the whole is still relatively dissolved).

Because you can't find a job, you want to escape. Frankly speaking, it's a waste of time for you to come here, and it will only be more difficult to find a job when you return to the mainland.

Tell me about the current situation of volunteers around me.

The first person: I came here because I was confused/unable to find a job after graduation. It is a relatively closed environment with a heavy sense of disconnection from the mainland. Most of the work I do here won't help you find a job. Going back to the mainland to find a job will lose the status of fresh graduates and reduce their competitiveness, so they will be abandoned for several years until the expiration of three years. If I want to take root here, it's not a problem to mix.

The second kind of people: families can buy houses in full in first-and second-tier cities. They came here for a year purely to experience life. After returning home, they can arrange whether they go abroad or work at home.

The second person: the goal is clear, that is, to enter the system, get tickets for four project personnel, and leave. When I came back, I went to the exam with peace of mind. Some passed and some didn't.

The fourth kind of people: come with enthusiasm and return disappointed. Too few people really realize their dedication. Only boring work and tiring administration will kill your enthusiasm day after day. So I chose to go back to the mainland, some to take exams, and some to work.

Finally, let me talk about my personal situation.

When I was a freshman, I became a national registered volunteer and vowed to "try my best to help others and serve the society for free", but I still failed.

In senior three, my idea was simple. My family has no financial burden. If you can still work when you go back, just follow your heart once. Tell my mother before you leave, maybe you will take root in the frontier. During the pre-job training, I sang "Go to the west, go to the grassroots, go where the motherland needs it most", and my blood will surge.

Actually, I was disappointed a long time ago.

It is difficult for me to accept the test of "obedience" such as power, and I have not recognized myself as a soldier of the Corps from the heart. Only one day, I suddenly understood-maybe my country needs me, but I'm not needed here.

During my college years, I have been to many really poor places and seen the real scenes in Metamorphosis, but I have never seen them in the Corps. Maybe the motherland is developing too fast, and my backward thoughts can't keep up.

When I first arrived at my post, I was full of enthusiasm for my work. I tried my best to do everything well and was quickly praised by the leaders. But in exchange, I get endless work, endless classes, many of which are my own private affairs. Later, I learned that in this place, it is definitely a pit that can do more work.

What really defeated me was their attitude and extremely inefficient administrative system. You are here, just a cheap labor. They can openly let all college students work overtime on the grounds that people of their age can stand it. Leaders always pat you on the head and do meaningless things. Within the system, you have no say.

With the arrival of 202 1, I made a very important decision-not to renew the contract.

Since then, my mind has been much better. I only do what I have to do, and I can push the rest.

Different ways, no common goal.

I think the idea that I began to take root in the frontier is ridiculous. I still like the fierce competition in the mainland, or I like my colleagues' working ability to overwhelm me.

As many interviewees said, you have to worry about your colleagues' performance for nothing with the living allowance.

If you want to come here to prepare for the exam, I also advise that it is not worth it. There is no library or study room here. When you come home from work, your roommates are chasing dramas and playing games, which will only kill your will. We are all ordinary people, and it is impossible to be completely unaffected by the environment. I don't regret participating in the western plan or coming to the Corps. Because I met good friends and didn't waste time here, but I know that not everyone will be like me, so I still discourage those aspiring young people who want to dedicate their youth.

? -Zhihu anonymous.

After reading this master's experience, my heart fluctuated greatly, and I seemed to feel that my choice in the western plan was wrong. Because I am the second kind of person who comes to the west to do planning: a person who is very confused and doesn't know what job he wants to do and what job he can do.

I practiced for a year in my senior year and changed a lot of jobs. My first job was as a teacher, internship in a large teaching and training institution in Shenzhen. At first, I liked this job very much, and I thought I was competent, but I found myself too weak, and the work intensity there was too great. It can be said that you get up at six in the morning and get off work at eleven! There is no overtime pay yet! Prepare lessons, give lectures, brush questions and shoot videos every day! My high-intensity work is unbearable for my body. I must come back!

Now the teaching and training posts have been rectified, and the choice of coming back at that time was right!

The second social worker, this is my professional job, because I am a social worker! At first, I thought I would always work here, but then I had a quarrel with the director and felt like an outsider in the office. The director doesn't give me any technical work or teach me anything else. Even if others are busy, she won't let me be idle if she has an order! So I was quite idle at work during that time, except for the awkward atmosphere! I feel that I have no room for promotion and my colleagues have a bad atmosphere. After the internship, I didn't formally sign a contract with the director!

My other two classmates didn't leave. They chose to stay and signed a formal contract with the director. Students thought they had become a full member, but the salary was still 2500, only to know that there was still a three-month probation period! We all know that we are angry and feel cheated and squeezed! After all, the internship has been half a year! The probation period is nine months, and there is no such job requirement! But the contract has been signed, and if you go back on your word, you will have to pay liquidated damages! My classmate is leaving when it's time to go!

This tells me that it doesn't matter how nice your boss is to you. Once the interests are involved, you must be careful to prevent fraud! The director is very kind to both of them. what can I say? We take turns going to the nursing home. If I am on duty in the office, the director will not talk to me, nor will he take me to the canteen for dinner at noon. Not friendly to me at all! I don't know that feeling.

I made the right choice to leave this time! After all, I have not been cheated to do another three-month probation.

There are also some jobs that I work part-time during the winter and summer vacations. I know many shady industries that can't adapt to that working environment! In short, I tried a lot, felt a lot and grew a lot!

Now, the Western Plan has accepted me and given me time to think about the future. I should thank it, but it is hard to say whether it will follow the old path of answering the Lord.

Be careful to remind everyone that we must think twice about the planning of the western region and don't go it alone!

Finally, I'll show you some answers. If you have plans to come to the western regions, then take a closer look and decide whether to come or not! After all, a year is long or short, but it will affect your whole life trajectory!
