Shandong Provincial Library was founded in 1909 (the year of Xuantongyuan in Qing Dynasty) and is one of the top ten libraries in China. According to the Records of the Creation of the Museum in Shandong, Shandong promoted Luo to set up a museum in the northeast of the provincial capital, imitating the old system of "Tianyi Pavilion" in Ningbo, Zhejiang. The ancient wooden rockery and Qushui arch bridge in the courtyard are extremely elegant and unique, which can be called "the best".
By the end of 2004, there were 61.2000 documents in the library, among which the collections of light industry, medicine and philosophy have reached the research level, while the collections of Qilu local records, Haiyuange, Yijing and Shandong revolutionary documents are relatively rich.
