The altitude of Mowei Mountain near Pengshui County is 1394M (relative height 1 170M), which is magnificent and towering into the sky. Many ancient literati left many poems praising their beauty. For example, Bai Juyi's poem "Color is at the foot of Mowei Mountain and Sound is in Yueming Gorge" vividly depicts the scenery of Mowei Mountain and Wujiang Gorge. On the east side of the top of Mowei Mountain, there is a huge stone pillar, named "Jade Bamboo Shoot Fairy Rock". There is "Genting Ancient Temple" on the stone pillar, which was built in the first year of Baoying in Tang Daizong (762) and rebuilt in the forty-fifth year of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty (1706). Covering an area of 450 square meters, it is surrounded by cliffs on three sides except the road on the west side. The temple was destroyed in the early 1960 s, and there are still stone pillars, stone gates, residual walls, inscriptions and other relics.

Along the cliff on the east side of the temple, there is a "monk cave" at the bottom of stalagmite; There is an independent small stalagmite protrusion in front of the monk cave, on which the land temple was originally built; 200 meters north along the cliff of Mowei Mountain, there is a "Somi Cave". According to legend, "there were monks practicing immortality here, and when there was a famine, rice shuttles came out of this cave", and there are still a large number of inscriptions. There is an open flat land between Sun Yu Xianyan and Mowei Mountain in Genting Temple, with a large number of housing sites. There is a water source nearby called "Yuquan" (there is little water in winter when it is dry). On the stone wall of Genting Temple, you can recall the past, explore historical traces, and feel the spirit of other mountains is dwarfed. Overlooking the panoramic view of Pengshui and the ruins of Song Shaoqing House during the day. At night, I saw the light of Pengshui, and I was in close contact with the stars and the moon. Watch the red sun in the east in the morning. This is really a good sightseeing spot.
