As of May 2023, Donghua Institute of Technology has two national key laboratories.
The State Key Laboratory approved by east china institute of technology is the State Key Laboratory of Nuclear Resources and Environment and the International Joint Research Center of Mass Spectrometry Science and Instruments. Among them, the State Key Laboratory of Nuclear Resources and Environment is also the first State Key Laboratory in the field of nuclear resources and environment in China.
Donghua Institute of Technology (formerly East China Institute of Geology) was established with the approval of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Defense Science and Technology Industry Bureau and the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government. It is a comprehensive university with geoscience and nuclear science as its main body and science and technology as its mainstay, with equal emphasis on literature, management, economics, law and education. Founded in 1956, the school belongs to the Second Ministry of Machinery Industry, the Ministry of Nuclear Industry and China National Nuclear Corporation, and is a training base for naval national defense students.
Since its establishment 54 years ago, the school has made great efforts to cultivate high-level professionals in nuclear fuel cycle engineering and is the forerunner of China's nuclear industry. It has trained and transported more than 654.38 million professionals at all levels and made due contributions to China's nuclear war industry, the establishment of its status as a nuclear power and the country's economic construction.
The school consists of Nanchang Campus and Fuzhou Campus, covering an area of more than 2,000 mu, with a building area of 740,000 square meters. The library has a collection of 6.5438+0.4 million books, including 350,000 electronic books. The school consists of Earth Science College, Surveying and Mapping Engineering College, Nuclear Engineering Technology College, Civil and Environmental Engineering College, Mechanical and Electronic Engineering College, Information Engineering College, Chemical Biology and Materials Science College, Foreign Languages College, school of economics and management, Grammar and Art College, Mathematics and Information Science College, Software College and National Defense Science and Technology College.
Twenty teaching units, including Naval Reserve Officers Academy, Physical Education Institute, Teachers College, graduate department and Higher Vocational and Technical College, have also established independent colleges-Yangtze College. At present, there are 56 undergraduate majors, 3 national specialty majors, 4 brand majors in Jiangxi Province, 4 provincial and ministerial key disciplines, 30 master's programs, 4 doctoral students in professional cooperation, and the right to grant master's degrees in 5 fields. On-the-job personnel have the same academic qualifications to apply for master's degree authorization. At present, there are 29,000 students (including international students).
