Maybe it's the carelessness of fate. The day she was born, she was doomed to a different life. The children in the neighborhood don't want to play with her, and the students at school don't like to sit at the same table with her. She was given a special name "Disabled". This name once made her world dark. She once said to me: "Thanks to my mother, when I was sad, she let me know that tears not only represent pain, but also the warmth of love." Thanks to my father, when I fell, I understood that I had to get up by myself to learn to be strong. "She studied hard and successfully became a worker in Tsingtao Brewery after graduating from college. However, in 2004, she was full of enthusiasm for her work and caught up with the trend of layoffs. The cruel facts and the hardships of life made her confused and helpless. She has only one right hand, but she ran into a wall looking for a job everywhere. People often say that when God closes a door, he will open another window for you. In August 2007 1, after written examination and interview, she became the coordinator of the community disabled persons' Federation. Maybe you don't understand how difficult it is for a disabled person to have a job. From that day on, she learned to appreciate the care given to her by social policies and the employment platform provided by the party and the government. From that day on, she fell in love with her job and tried to become a community worker, practicing the working principle of coming from and serving the masses. She said: I am proud that as a disabled person, I can do my part for this society.
She has experienced many difficulties and twists and turns, and has also experienced the help of many good people. Every day, she devoted herself to her work with gratitude. The community is a big family. She has worked in the community for six years, and every day, she has staged mixed feelings of life. But there is always something that touches our hearts. It was the autumn of 2009. When Cheng Ligang arrived at the office, the director said that she would visit those low-income families. It was such an ordinary work visit that brought her a great shock. When Liu Xiuhua's old man's door was opened, the smell of humiliating clothes washed for a long time went straight to her nostrils, with broken furniture and rubbish all over the floor, so that they had to cross the aisle carefully and enter the bedroom. The old man caught her attention in this way. The old man was naked and naked. Tired of lying in a bed full of dirt, the weather in early winter made the room temperature drop to more than ten degrees. Although the stove is burning, it is still cold. Li Cheng doesn't know how long the old man has been in such an exposed house, but she can clearly feel the old man shaking! The old man was a little surprised to see someone come in. He tried to pull open the quilt with his hand to keep a distance from her, trying to hide her inner panic, or more accurately, to hide her embarrassment that she didn't want to be seen through by anyone as soon as possible. Li Cheng went over to help her pick it up and cover it. The bedpan not far from the old side has been tilted and dumped on the bed. I guess the old man must have been inconvenient for a while. In fact, when I came, I knew that the old man was paraplegic, but I never thought that he was so ill. The old man's daughter is mentally retarded, his son is idle, wandering around the society all day, and his wife drinks all day. I don't know if God is drunk, so let such a group of people form a family. Out of the door of the old man's house, an astringent liquid with temperature has slipped to Li Cheng's lips. It suddenly occurred to her that her mother once said that tears have a kind of warmth of love besides pain. At that time, she told herself that she must help the old man who should have enjoyed his old age. Li Cheng said: "According to my own economic conditions, of course I can't provide material help for the elderly, but I still have all my strength. Although I have a broken hand, I can still help her with my other intact hand. "
After that, after work, she will take time to visit the old people. In order to get close to the old people as soon as possible, she will take the old people's favorite opera discs, accompany them to watch, explain to them, chat with them at home, and review the good times of her youth with them. The old man gradually changed from initial resistance to daily expectation. She began to provide further help to the elderly, insisting on going to the elderly's home every day as much as possible, wiping their faces, cooking for the elderly occasionally, or cooking and washing clothes. In autumn, I help the elderly to sew windows, buy autumn vegetables and drown sauerkraut. The first time she wanted to take urine from the old man, the old man refused. She said you should treat me as your daughter! It is human nature for a daughter to be filial to her mother! For the first time, she wanted to scrub the old man's body. The old man was in tears, holding her hand and saying, I can only pay you back in my next life. This continued until the old man died last spring. Until now, Li Cheng still remembers the old man with tears in his eyes, and she can still feel the warmth that the old man conveyed to her when he held her hand. In the year when Liu Xiuhua was sent away, her daughter also entered the school from kindergarten. With solid knowledge, she assumed the responsibility of being an off-campus counselor for poor left-behind children. Every night after school, her home becomes a small homework classroom. She patiently explained to the children the problems they didn't understand in class and the difficulties they encountered in their homework. When spring comes, she takes her children to the suburbs to feel the nature. When summer comes, she takes them to the park to play, to the museum to review history, and to the library to roam in the ocean of knowledge. Seeing her efforts, someone once suggested that she could charge some fees to supplement her family, but Li Cheng said: I saw clear and transparent eyes eager for knowledge; What I feel is innocent and eager for attention, bright enough for me to open my heart and hold hands with them. In my home, you can't buy happy laughter under the blue sky.
In fact, up to now, the volunteer friends sitting here may think that my speech is a bit off topic, because up to now, I haven't put a volunteer hat on my colleague Li Cheng, but I want to say that Comrade Lei Feng didn't know there was such a name as a volunteer before his death, but he really explained the persistence of a volunteer in serving the people and those in need with ordinary charm, personality charm and soul charm.
