Located on the river bank between the city center and Worcester University College, the building is covered with shiny golden squares and is four stories high. Internally, it includes a student academic library, a public library, a rural archives and a local history center. The protruding roof contains seven rectangular vertebral bodies, which divide the building into several interrelated groups, and the overall form reflects the layout of the room. These chimneys absorb sunlight and air into the room and connect the atrium space on each floor. This unique form is a response to the wishes of a project partner, creating a learning lighthouse and a corresponding cathedral in the city center. The hive forms a new city block, which integrates a tour route, connects the city center, passes through the top of the medieval city wall, and reaches the university campus of New Castle Street-it aims to attract passers-by to explore.
