Finally, in the festive days to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the reform and opening up, one of a series of public cultural activities organized by the Central Civilization Office, the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, the General Administration of Press and Publication, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, and the Chinese Writers Association, "Love Farmers, Create Civilization" was published one after another. The first batch of 20 works of different genres recorded the rain, snow, wind and frost of rural reform in the past 30 years, which exuded the earthy fragrance of the vast land of China and made people excited. In 120 books, there are 14 peasant novels, 1 peasant poems, essays, scripts and folk stories, and two collections of peasant paintings and calligraphy. These literary and artistic works of different genres and categories faithfully record the 30-year course of rural reform and opening-up in China since the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. Through the works of these peasant writers and artists, we not only see the reality of great changes in rural areas of China in the past 30 years, but what is more gratifying is that we also see that farmers who are getting richer in material aspects have begun to pursue new spiritual and cultural pursuits. In the creative history of new China, there are few such clustered works, which fully display the achievements of rural cultural construction; In the publishing history of New China, few excellent works series of peasant authors have been published on such a large scale. Therefore, only from this perspective, the centralized publication of these works can not be underestimated.
The works written by these peasant writers and artists are the works of contemporary farmers who record the history of rural reform and opening up and pour out their own life experiences, with unique perspectives and extraordinary significance. The 30-year reform is the overall memory of a nation's phoenix nirvana and the historical evolution of a country. We can't overestimate its great contribution, especially its deep footprint engraved in rich fertile soil and vast rural areas, which makes us amazed. Today, these farmers' works let us see the reality of this great change-from mountain villages in the north to water towns in the south, from loess slopes in the west to emerging towns in the east. After 30 years of reform, rural areas in China have changed, and a new generation of farmers are marching forward in the fields of hope with heroism. The works of these farmers also let us understand the profound connotation of great changes. They resort to pen and ink to express their joy, sketch their vision, express their feelings and express their demands in various artistic forms. These works are the personal feelings of the farmers present in the reform.
The first batch of 20 books published are also works of China farmers to express their unique aesthetic pursuit and carry forward excellent national traditions. Simple style, heavy text. The author's special spiritual position and rich rural literature resources show the unique aesthetic effect of farmers' creation. The natural local colors and the proper use of simple local dialects are also a highlight of these works.
The activity of "loving agriculture and creating civilization" is of great significance, and the blueprint for new rural construction is moving. An important wing of new rural construction is cultural construction, and the main body of cultural construction should be farmers. These writers who know the countryside and farmers are familiar with their excellent literary and artistic works and are loved by farmers' readers. Therefore, only when the ranks of peasant writers grow, can the cultural activities of the rural masses last and the construction of a new socialist countryside gain a steady stream of cultural impetus. It is a glorious task to help professional writers improve their creative level. In this activity, many writers and peasant authors formed a helping pair and enthusiastically helped peasant authors to create. This not only improves the literary level of peasant writers, but also gives them fresh life materials and artistic inspiration. I hope that through such activities, we can truly achieve a win-win situation. In order to contribute to the construction of new countryside, the Chinese Writers Association will carry out this activity deeply and persistently. At the same time, China Social Publishing House vigorously explores, cultivates and supports farmers' authors, excavates, rescues and protects rural folk customs and folk culture, and publishes hundreds of farmers' works, which is an important measure to send valuable spiritual food to the new rural construction. I am very glad to be invited to preface it, and I value the works of these farmers more.
