Mr Li Dazhao was appointed as the director of Peking University Library (19181.0765438+2.07 and1965438+2.08) (65438+2.08 was elected as the secretary general of Beijing Library Association). Li Dazhao was 29 when he was a librarian. During his tenure as the director of Peking University Library, Li Dazhao extensively purchased books and reformed the service and management, which quickly transformed Peking University Library from a closed library into the first modern library in China. Therefore, he is known as "the father of modern libraries in China".
