Sagulu: How to Improve Creativity
1. Sagulu talks about creation

The first step is that inspiration is everywhere.

Sagulu: Everything created by human beings is actually just an imitation and improvement of existing things. No matter what kind of machine you create, your body is the most sophisticated electromechanical system and the most complicated chemical plant. If you look at creativity from an artistic point of view, everything you do is actually imitating nature. Without real creativity, you can't create things, because the creator created everything. You just imitated the creation of the creator.

Therefore, if you want to innovate in any field, all you have to do is to observe deeply by all possible means. If you can cultivate a sense of observing every little thing you do and every little thing that happens around you, then you can have a broad vision and see how everything works for you.

Creativity doesn't mean you have to create great things. Some people even creatively sweep the floor. If you can find a real way to observe the operation at all levels within you, you will have excellent creative thinking. Even if you just observe what is happening around you, you will find more creative ways to do the same thing.

The second step is to see things as they really are.

Sagulu: To cultivate creativity, our minds must be clear and not distort things. If you always carry the burden of life on your shoulders, you can't see things as they really are.

In yoga, we often describe the mind as a mirror. Mirrors are only useful to you if they are clean and flat. If the mirror is uneven or dusty, you can't see things as they really are. The essence of the mirror is this. If you look in the mirror, it will reflect all of you. If you walk away, it will leave you completely, and even a trace of your residue will not be retained. The next person who looks in the mirror can also see himself through the mirror. If a million people look in the mirror, their quality can't have any influence on the mirror at all.

If you can keep your mind from leaving any traces of life, you can see things in the original way. In this way, you have room for innovation in all aspects of your life. If you simply accept life and become a reflection of life, rather than a projection of your mind and chaotic thoughts, this is creativity.

The third step is to devote yourself wholeheartedly.

Saguru: If you don't distinguish between what is important and what is not, what you like and what you don't like, you can see things as they are.

When you decide what belongs to you, what doesn't belong to you, what is important and what isn't, how can you do what you think doesn't belong to you wholeheartedly?

You can't do things well without putting in. When you put your heart and soul into the present, you can see everything clearly and see what it really looks like. If you can look at everything in this way, it is easy for you to create, because at this time, creation for you lies in how to choose materials from everything you have.

2. K: Creativity is the most important thing.

We all want to be famous writers, poets, painters, politicians and singers, but why? Because we don't like what we are doing. If you really love singing, painting and writing poetry, you won't think about obscurity.

Want to be famous is a tacky, stupid and unworthy idea, which has no meaning; It is precisely because we don't like what we do that we long for the satisfaction brought by fame.

Our present education is so corrupt because it only teaches us how to succeed, but not how to love our work, so the result becomes more important than the work itself.

You know, it is very beautiful to restrain your own light, turn yourself into an unknown person, and love what you do without showing off. Doing good anonymously is also a good thing. You won't be famous for it, your picture won't appear in the newspaper, and politicians won't visit you. You are just a creative nobody, and this kind of creativity is rich and beautiful.

Don't equate creativity with technology. Your piano playing skills may be perfect, but they are not necessarily creative; Your piano skills may be outstanding, but you may not be a real musician. You may have a good grasp of color and know how to use pigments skillfully on canvas, but you are not necessarily a truly creative painter. You may be able to carve a portrait with marble, because you have learned this technique, but you may not be a real master.

Creativity is the most important thing, which is why we are so unfortunate. We all have some skills-how to build a house, build a bridge, assemble a motor, or educate children through some system-which we have learned, but our hearts and brains are empty.

We are a first-class machine. We know how to operate this machine perfectly, but we don't know how to love a life. You may be a trained engineer or pianist. You may be good at writing in English or other languages, but you are not creative in skills. If you have something to say, you will naturally create your own style; If you have no idea at all, even if you have a wonderful writing style, what you write is still the same old tune.

So, if there is no song in my heart, just follow the singer. We learned the singing skills from the singer, but the song was gone; I think songs are the most important thing, and enjoying singing is the really meaningful thing. With joy, technology can develop slowly; You will invent your own technology, so you don't have to learn pronunciation or style. With joy, you naturally know how to see. Being able to see beauty is an art.

3. Week: Creative reading

As the leader of the American Renaissance and an outstanding master of prose, Emerson has gone down in history. As a philosopher, he seems unable to enter the "official history" of philosophy. He is a philosopher who is better at inspiration than system. His "system", the so-called transcendentalism, is probably not taken seriously in the United States now.

It would be pedantic if I tried to explain his system in detail. I just want to be inspired by him and write down my feelings casually. Transcendentalism is dead, but Emerson's wisdom lives on.

Everyone is a universe, and everyone's nature contains the creativity endowed by nature. Applying this viewpoint to reading, Emerson advocated a kind of "creative reading". This is to regard one's own life as the text and the book as the annotation; Listening to others is to let yourself talk; Read with an active mind and look for inspiration.

Almost all creative thinkers are instinctively wary of books. Montaigne once talked about "writing" because he read too much, was cut by the axe of words, and lost his creativity.

Schopenhauer, a famous German philosopher, believes that reading too much will turn one's mind into a racecourse for other people's thoughts.

Emerson also said, "I would rather never read than be distorted by its attraction and pull me out of orbit completely, making me a satellite rather than a universe."

Many people have consulted the method of reading, but how to read depends on one's attitude towards life. The genius of the past can be the stars in the sky or the idols who suppress themselves.

Emerson wrote humorously: "docile young people grew up in the library, believing that their responsibility should be to accept the opinions of Cicero, Locke and bacon;" They forget that Cicero, Locke and Bacon were only young people in the library when they wrote these books. "I want to add: fortunately, there were no more books in the library at that time than now, otherwise it might not be Cicero, Locke and Bacon?

Good books are friends, but they are just friends. It is a pleasure to get together with friends, but you must have something to say to yourself to be really happy. A stupid person, no matter how clever his friends are, is useless to him. He is just a puppet sitting among a group of talented friends, a satire and a torture. Everyone has their own spiritual beliefs, and then there will be an Olympian party.

When we read a book and read a wonderful part, we often can't help crying: this is my thought, this is exactly what I want to say, and he stole it! Sometimes it's really hard to tell which is the author's original intention and which is his own mashup and addition. The feeling of deep sleep wakes up, the lost memory is restored, and the hazy thoughts are clear. Everything else is just dead "knowledge", that is to say, it is just an inorganic substance, which is free from the organic growth process of the soul.

I have calculated that if I read a book every day for the rest of my life, I can't even finish reading my own book. Besides, I have been buying new books. There are countless books in the library. This is really a little desperate. However, when the writing impulse came up, all this was forgotten.

Emerson put it well: "You can't waste it on manuscripts that others have read." It is a kind of luck to read books written by others with your own understanding and creative desire!

4. Creative quotes

It is undeniable that the use of creativity and free creative activities are the real functions of human beings; People's creative activities are people's practical functions; Facts have proved that human beings have found real happiness in creation. Arnold
