The new Zibo Library, with a building area of 23,800 square meters, is a landmark building that reflects the history and culture of Zibo and the taste of modern cities. The foundation stone was laid in June of 20 10, and the civil construction began in June of 2010/year, and was completed and put into use in June of 201year.
The new building has five floors above ground: the first floor includes the main service desk, multifunctional lecture hall, 24-hour self-service library, editing center, children's activity room, children's reading room, reading room for the visually impaired and readers' rest area. On the second floor are the literature lending room, comprehensive lending room, children's lending room and study room. On the third floor, there are newspaper reading room, electronic reading room, government information disclosure consulting office, library of newspapers and periodicals, and grass-roots library. On the fourth floor, there are local literature reading room, reference literature reading room, ancient books reading room (Chinese studies reading room), ancient books storage room, Nishan Academy, audio-visual literature room and multimedia training room. The fifth floor is the administrative office area. The spacious architectural pattern and quiet and peaceful design of the new building highlight the atmosphere suitable for reading, learning and research. The interior layout of the building is warm and fashionable, and the flexible space design can be expanded and adjusted according to the actual use requirements; The exterior is mainly presented by glass structure, which provides a clear vision and sufficient lighting for the interior, reflecting the design concept of high efficiency, energy saving, convenience and environmental protection.
The service facilities of the new library have been completely updated, realizing the automation, intelligence, networking and digitalization of library services. In business management and service, Interlib intelligent book management system combines RFID related equipment to realize self-service authentication, automatic query and self-service lending and returning service. Adopt modern equipment such as large-scale electronic touch screen newspaper reading system and electronic book borrowing machine; Full coverage of wireless network, providing readers with free internet service; Mobile library allows readers to enjoy public cultural services with zero time difference and zero distance.
The new library is open all year round. During the trial operation, the first batch of departments and rooms include: literature lending room, comprehensive lending room, children's lending room, newspaper reading room, electronic reading room, study room and main service desk. Opening hours: Monday 13:30 to 17:30, Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 to 17:30, with no rest at noon; The study room is open from 9 to 20: 30. Reader cards are divided into adult cards, children cards and family cards.
