Watch model operas

I'm afraid not many people know what a model opera is. During the Cultural Revolution, many excellent films, novels and plays were said to be sponsored, as well as some writers and actors. Also suffered from prison, and some even gave their lives.

There are no novels, movies and plays, but only seven or eight stage plays, such as The Red Lantern and Taking the Tiger Mountain Outward, which were called model plays at that time.

There was little cultural life during the Cultural Revolution, and there was almost no other cultural life except watching model operas. To this end, everyone must watch the model operas several times. At that time, model operas were household names. Some people who like singing can't sing a few paragraphs. The aria of Living in Anyuan and Wandering in Yun Fei in Du Fu Mountain, Li Yuhe's aria in The Red Lantern and Guo Jianguang's aria in Shajiabang are so popular that people can still sing them truthfully after more than 30 years, which shows her vitality.

From an artistic point of view, the model operas are really good, with high artistic ideas, good actors and well written dialogues and lyrics, especially the play Du Fu Shan, which left a particularly deep impression on people.

I can still recite many lines of this play and sing some aria of Ke Xiang, and I feel that the lyrics in it have achieved the purpose of borrowing scenery to express emotion and blending scenes. The scenery of the stage is also very unique. Scenery such as green hills, green bamboos and white clouds have jumped out of the original artificial traces, giving people a real feeling. Clothing, props, story lines, lighting and acoustics are all high-level. It can be said that even at today's technical level, only a handful of domestic stage plays can surpass this play.

Model operas are not only toured, but also made into movies and put around; In some places, model operas in the form of Peking Opera have been adapted into local operas for their own performances. I remember that we adapted the Peking Opera "The Red Lantern" and "Shajiabang" into Sichuan Opera to perform here. It's especially interesting to see Sichuan opera after seeing the model opera. Today, it seems that the transformation of Beijing-style Putonghua into southwest dialect should be as ugly as it is. But at that time, the actors were so serious, and the Beijing dialect became Sichuan dialect, with cadence and cadence, which was still coherent and won the love of most people. Therefore, the actors who play Tie Mei and Sha Grandma in our Sichuan Opera Troupe have also become stars, sought after by people, and some have become political figures.

Some people used to say that model operas were created by Jiang Qing and others, so they were totally denied. I think this statement is a bit extreme and unrealistic. Looking back at the model operas now, it should be said that the model operas are still good, and they can also be called fine works, and I don't know how many performance artists have worked hard.

Model operas have always been fond memories of our generation, and we often want to watch them again. Now I hear a passage on TV occasionally, and I really have a sense of intimacy in my heart. It seems that the model opera complex in our hearts can't go away for a while. Maybe this complex will accompany us to heaven.
