Houjie town is the same as the other four urban areas in administrative level, and is directly under the Dongguan Municipal Government. Therefore, houjie town does not belong to any district, and its superior is the Dongguan Municipal Government.

Houjie town, which belongs to Dongguan City, Guangdong Province, is located on the east bank of the Pearl River Delta, in the middle of the Suigang Economic Corridor, connecting Dongguan City in the north, Humen Port in the south, Daling Mountain in the east, Shatian in the southwest and Daojiao and Hongmei across the river in the northwest. The town center is located at 22 56 ′ north latitude and113 40 ′ east longitude.
