The Library of South China Agricultural University was established in 1953, which was formed by the merger of the former Sun Yat-sen University and the Agricultural College of Lingnan University, and accepted the books and equipment of the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department of the Agricultural College of Guangxi University. The existing library was built in 1987, with a total area of 32,500 square meters after expansion. During the Tenth Five-Year Plan period, the school also plans to build a new East District Library.
