Adding more indoor units can only reduce the efficiency, and the power consumption of outdoor units will not increase much.

There are also differences between water machine and refrigerant machine in other aspects. In terms of comfort, water machine air conditioner is more comfortable than refrigerant machine because of its large air volume and small temperature difference. The medium of the water machine is water, while the refrigeration/heat medium of the refrigerant machine is refrigerant. The water machine is more expensive, the refrigerant machine is cheaper, the installation of the water machine is difficult, and the arrangement of the refrigerant machine is simple and convenient.
