I just graduated from high school, so there is no need to worry too much. Translation is a communicative activity (to be precise, cross-cultural communication). To do translation well, we must first lay a solid foundation of language and culture, without which it is impossible to do it well.
There are many good books translated in English. In fact, just after graduating from high school, we are still laying the foundation, so we don't need to choose too many translated books at once (at this stage, it is more important to read more foreign books that suit us and increase our knowledge of vocabulary, grammar and cultural background). I can recommend you some introductory translation books (in fact, many over-specialized books have been deleted from this list). A summer vacation is not long. You can go to the bookstore or the library and choose one or two or three books that suit your taste (in other words, books that you like and can read). It's best to bring a notebook, keep taking notes, often summarize, and try to do exercises yourself if you are interested.
