Kashgar University is a full-time undergraduate college sponsored by the People's Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The school was founded in 1962, formerly known as Kashgar Teachers College. 1978 School was upgraded to an undergraduate college and renamed Kashgar Teachers College. On April 20 15, it was renamed Kashgar University.
