Guilin Library of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region is the earliest library in Guangxi and one of the first ten provincial public libraries in China. "The First Library of Guangxi Province" and "The First Library of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region". The total construction area is 1.7 million square meters, which is divided into two parts: Anxin North Road Headquarters and Ronghu North Road Branch. The headquarters building is located on the beautiful Lijiang River and opened to the public in May 199 1. The branch library was built in 1954, which is located on the beautiful shore of ronghu lake. In July 2005, it was transformed into Guilin Children's Library. In the same year, Guilin Children's Library was supported by the American Mingde Library Foundation and established the Guilin Mingde English Library. In June 2003, the first audio book library for the blind in Guangxi was built.
