Hunan Safety Technology Vocational College is a public full-time comprehensive higher vocational college approved by the Hunan Provincial People's Government and co-founded by the Emergency Management Department and the Hunan Provincial People's Government. The college was formerly known as Changsha Coal Mine Safety Technology Training Center, which was founded in 1984. It was established by the government of China and the United Nations International Labour Organization. It is one of the two training bases directly under the State Administration of Work Safety, a national first-class safety production training institution and a national first-class coal mine safety training institution.
In 2000, Hunan Vocational College of Science and Technology was established on the basis of this center. 200 1, formally established as the North Campus of Hunan Vocational College of Science and Technology; In 2005, it became an independent Hunan Vocational College of Safety Technology. In 2006, the People's Government of Hunan Province signed an agreement with the State Administration of Work Safety at the provincial and ministerial levels to become a public full-time comprehensive vocational college focusing on training safety professionals.
