Tsinghua University main building
The main building of Tsinghua University was completed in May, 1966, with a total construction area of nearly 80,000 square meters. It is one of the representative works designed by teachers and students of related majors in Tsinghua University. It consists of three parts: the west main building, the east main building and the central main building, and is connected into a whole by four "street-crossing buildings". The whole building is magnificent and integrated, and it is the largest building complex in Tsinghua campus, which embodies the broad mind and heroism of Tsinghua teachers and students.
The main building in Tsinghua not only plays an important role in teaching and scientific research, but also is the main place for the school to hold important activities and receive important guests. Many dignitaries, Nobel Prize winners and other academic masters, famous corporate celebrities such as the president of multinational companies have delivered speeches for Tsinghua teachers and students in the main building of the Central Committee.
Second, the school gate of Tsinghua No.2 Middle School
Tsinghua University No.2 school gate
The second gate is the earliest main gate in Tsinghua, which was built in 1909. It is one of the most representative landmark buildings in Tsinghua campus and is regarded as the symbol of Tsinghua University. The second school gate is a classical and elegant "archway" building with blue bricks, white columns and three arches. The lintel is engraved with the three characters "Tsinghua Campus" inscribed by Na Tong, a great scholar in the late Qing Dynasty. Standing on Tsinghua Road, looking north at the second school gate, you can see Tsinghua Auditorium, sundial and Tsinghua School.
The Second School Gate, which stands on the main road of the campus, silently witnessed the history and development of Tsinghua University in the storm. It is not only a distinctive symbol of Tsinghua campus, but also a symbol of Tsinghua people's long-term hard work and pragmatic character.
Third, the Tsinghua School.

This building with blue bricks and red tiles, steep slope top and German classical style was built in 1909, which was the main building of the school in the early days. The total area is 4650 square meters. 1925, Tsinghua established the "Institute of Chinese Studies" here, and the famous "four great teachers"-Liang Qichao, Wang Guowei, Chen Yinque and Zhao Yuanren, as well as the famous archaeologist Li Ji and writer Wu Mi, formed Tsinghua University's school-running style of "combining Chinese and Western cultures and connecting ancient and modern" here.
Fourth, Tsinghua, Shui Mu
Quiet and beautiful ponds and Woods
Tsinghua, Shui Mu is the most charming scenic spot in Tsinghua campus, which is located on the north side of the I-shaped hall. Compared with the humor garden in the Summer Palace, it is often called the "Garden in the Garden" in Tsinghua campus. The landscape design of "Shui Mu Tsinghua" is very unique. The forest mountain with changing seasons is surrounded by a beautiful water, and two exquisite and elegant ancient pavilions are hidden among the mountains. Because of its elegant environment, Tsinghua, Shui Mu is often chosen by Tsinghua students as a place to study and take a nap.
Verb (abbreviation for verb) auditorium
Tsinghua University Auditorium
Tsinghua University Auditorium, together with the old library, West Gymnasium and Science Museum, is called the "Four Major Buildings", and it is the first batch of large-scale buildings since Tsinghua was founded. The completed auditorium is the largest auditorium in domestic universities, with a building area of 1.840 square meters and a height of 44 meters. The architecture of the auditorium has the artistic style of ancient Rome and ancient Greece in the Italian Renaissance, the dome of Roman style, the open long-span structure and the Onek porch of white marble. The lower part of the whole building is round and majestic, symbolizing Tsinghua people's "firmness, simplicity and perseverance". Now, school meetings, lectures and entertainment performances are still often held here.
Sixth, Tsinghua Library.
Tsinghua University Library
Tsinghua University Library consists of two parts: the new library and the old library. The whole library was built in three phases, spanning 75 years. The first phase of the project was designed by famous American architect Murphy. Started in April 2006 1965438+ and completed in March 2009 1965438. The second phase of the project began in the early 1930s. Due to the development of the school, the central and western parts of the old museum were rebuilt under the auspices of a famous architect known as "South Yang and North Liang (Liang Sicheng)". The third phase of the project (new museum) began in1early 1990s, and was donated by Jazz and designed by Academician Guan. Completed in September, 199 1. The new museum not only maintains the style of the old museum, but also innovates in many details, so it won the "National Excellent Engineering Design Gold Award" of 1993.
If the architecture of Tsinghua campus is regarded as a melodious and high-pitched music, then the library is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful notes in this music. No matter spring, summer, autumn and winter, no matter whether the sun rises or the red wheel sets in the west, every time I walk into the Tsinghua University Library, I see a faint book fragrance, and all the students are fighting for it. Here is the ocean of knowledge, here is the world of knowledge, here is the spiritual home to the other shore, and here is the road to brilliant success. ...
VII. I-shaped Hall
I-shaped hall
I-shaped hall, formerly known as I-shaped hall, is the main building of Tsinghua campus. Because the front hall and the back hall are connected by a short corridor, it looks like the word "I" when viewed from above, hence the name. There are more than 0/00 original houses in the I-shaped hall, with a total construction area of about 2750 square meters. The winding corridors in the courtyard are folded up to form an independent small courtyard, which forms the main characteristics of this group of buildings. The inscription "Tsinghua Campus" at the entrance of I-shaped hall is Xianfeng Imperial Pen.
As an ancient building with a history of nearly 400 years, I-shaped hall has witnessed the century-old history of Tsinghua. In 2005, I-shaped hall won the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Cultural Heritage Protection Award. Now the I-shaped hall is the administrative center, cultural activity center and foreign exchange center of the school.
