I am a non-architectural graduate. Want to learn what architecture should do?
Reprinted for reference:

1, you don't have to learn architecture to get out. This is the first sentence I want to say.

There are countless universities offering architecture in China, and only a few are good. If you want to learn so much, I believe you should also know something about the architecture of ordinary colleges and universities. There is no elite teaching, teachers just play a guiding role. In the end, everything depends on yourself. For example, our school finds its own maps to copy, looks up information on the Internet, buys books and explores what tools are good. Many teachers may not know as much as we do. They have long been divorced from practice and taken the postgraduate entrance examination. We all grope by ourselves, find our admitted brothers and sisters, seek advice and communicate. Without good painting conditions, we all bought a small computer desk and put it in the bedroom. This is the second paragraph I want to say.

3. Architecture is a very broad concept. I don't know why many people rename architecture as architectural design. Of course, most people who study architecture choose to do design in the end. After all, this is the wisest direction, which can make a living and solve practical problems. But architectural design can not only do architectural design, but many people eventually change to interior design, graphic design and design are all connected. As long as you have that kind of understanding, that kind of talent and that kind of feeling to design, you can learn what design quickly and you can be admitted to the university. This IQ is enough to learn design. Of course, it depends on how much work you have done. No master relies only on talent and inspiration, and there is no real material. This is my third point.

4. Let's talk about what you are most concerned about and how to learn. Even the classmates have been exploring. Architecture is an art form, and it is impossible to learn mathematics, physics and chemistry over time. Look at it today, and you will soon learn it. It should be said that it wants literature and works hard to write a good novel, just like Lu Yao spent ten years sorting out newspapers and periodicals to write "Ordinary World". Usually reading books, in addition to architectural books (architecture aside), other aspects should be dabbled in. A designer who can make excellent works (not to mention that he is an architect for the time being) needs to know a lot of knowledge, but he can do well in design, history, literature and poetry, music, astronomy and geography, physical chemistry, in the words of our former architectural introductory teacher. Only when you know everything, can you know in time what requirements Party A puts forward, communicate with Party A and make a good design, so that people will not say, I want a Chinese style, there are many Chinese styles, which generation counts, which one do you want to do? If he is an antique party, you still don't know how to design his collection room. I'm just saying it's probably wrong, just know what I mean. Besides, design is just to make money. You won't tell me that your design is purely a hobby, pursuing artistic taste, will you? If you do well and do well, you will have your own customer base and you can start your own business. I don't want to work for others all my life. I have been designing for more than ten years, and I am still a designer. I didn't even get the position of director. What books to read depends entirely on your own preferences. You don't want to see what I recommended, and it doesn't work. You just dabble in all aspects and choose a few books that you like and are better. This is the fourth point.

5. Tell me about books on architecture. I recommend some books to you. I am also a poor scholar. It may not be particularly right, but it is not a useless book. The books that need to be read most are almost the same as our textbooks, such as Ten Books on Architecture, Mahayana View on Architecture, Artists in China, Twelve Lectures on Architectural Art, from sketch to design ... You often go to ABBS, and it has many new content updates. Speaking of which, I think it's too many. There are one or two hundred books, but reading books is not enough. You should learn design and be serious. Why don't you practice sketching first? Many people think that learning sketch is of little significance to architecture, because we seldom use sketch in design performance. Actually, this is a misunderstanding. Sketch is the basis of all artistic modeling. I can't say that all good people who draw with pen drawing are good, but I can say that all good people draw with pen drawing. You can quickly learn pen drawing, watercolor painting or gouache, and pen recommends hero 329. If you don't understand the rest, you can check it online. Baidu has been asking for a long time, and what it wants to learn can't be learned for a few years. You practice pen drawing first, buy a 1 board and a T-square in your spare time, buy a disposable stylus, (buy 0. 1 and 0.2 or more) and watercolor pigments, color boxes and watercolors. Which works, and engineering paper gouache paper. Things are not expensive, but good. I have nothing to do with practicing lines and ink lines. How to spread watercolors and what is dizzy is just a beginner. Don't rush to find an architecture teacher in your school to teach you. I can't make it clear online.

If you want to take the postgraduate entrance examination, you should start to spend a lot of time practicing quick questions. Hey, maybe you understand everything I said, maybe you have already started practicing, hehe.
