The Agricultural Museum is located in the north of Shennong Square in leiyang city, Hunan Province, next to the municipal government. The museum was designed by professional designers of Hunan Museum, one of the top ten famous museums in China. The whole exhibition hall is fully functional, integrating farming culture, art and books. It officially opened to the public on September 6, 2004, receiving tourists. In February, 2006, 18 was rated as a national 2A-level tourist attraction and designated as one of the six pilot museums in National Cultural Heritage Administration.
