The school was established in 1984. It was originally the Chongqing Civil Affairs School of the Ministry of Civil Affairs founded by the Ministry of Civil Affairs. In March of 20001year, it was upgraded to Chongqing Social Work Vocational College. In March 2006, it was renamed Chongqing Urban Management Vocational College.
The school is located in Chongqing University Town, covering an area of nearly 700 mu. The college has first-class teaching experiment and training conditions, including 17 practice teaching base (center), 145 experiment training room and 29 1 off-campus practice base.
