From preserved egg fairy to king of health care products
Yu Qiaoxian is a native of Jiangmutang Village, Chengxi Town, Yiwu City, Zhejiang Province. His parents are farmers. 15 years old, Yu Qiaoxian, who graduated from junior high school, was forced to enter the society prematurely because of his poor family. Yu Qiaoxian makes a living by working as a day laborer and picking tea leaves. Later, she chose to sell preserved eggs. First, she collected duck eggs from house to house, processed them into preserved eggs and sold them in cities more than ten miles away. Later, she went to rural sales outlets and city grocery stores to sell her preserved eggs. Business started slowly, and after three years, Yu Qiaoxian became a well-known preserved egg professional. Because she is young and handsome, people call her "the preserved egg fairy".
Selling preserved eggs dug up the first bucket of gold, and Yu Qiaoxian was confident in his business skills. In the mid-1980s, when the first generation commodity market in Yiwu came out, Yu Qiaoxian set up a stall in the non-staple food market. Then, the talented Yu Qiaoxian saw the huge business opportunities in the health care products market. With all her courage, she went to Chengdu alone to attend the annual national sugar, tobacco and alcohol fair in March 1995, and successfully took the general agency rights of the two brands "Jinri" and "Wanji" into her arms, becoming the general agent of more than 800 brands at home and abroad, and becoming the "originator" of brand agency in Yiwu small commodity market. In health care industry, China, people still have to give a thumbs-up when talking about "Sister Yu" in Yiwu market.
The leap of life originated in Cao Xian.
After more than 20 years in business, Yu Qiaoxian has experienced four turning points in his life.
1990 is the first turning point. That year, Yu Qiaoxian, who worked in Yiwu commodity market for three years, followed a group of Wenzhou people to Guangzhou.
"In Guangzhou, I was blindsided. Non-staple food can be sold like this. " Yu Qiaoxian said: "Peanuts and green beans are sold in a sack in Yiwu, but in Guangzhou, all food is sold in small bags. The packaging is quite exquisite, the price is surprisingly expensive, but it sells surprisingly well. She changed all the money she brought into various small packages of food, and was robbed as soon as she arrived in Yiwu.
Since then, Yu Qiaoxian has frequently shuttled between Yiwu and Guangzhou, and his business has snowballed. By 1994, Yu Qiaoxian has become one of the biggest bosses in Yiwu commodity market.
The second turning point occurred in 1995, and she embarked on the road of agency for brand products. In Yiwu seven or eight years ago, there were few people engaged in distribution agents. But no matter how big the agent is, the initiative is in the hands of the manufacturer, and ultimately it depends on the faces of others. With the appearance of modern marketing methods such as factory direct sales and chain distribution centers, the life of agents is getting more and more difficult, so Yu Qiaoxian thought of setting up her own factory and building her own brand, which became the third turning point in her life.
1997 1, the first company founded by Yu Qiaoxian-today's Kangbao Jianpin Co., Ltd. was established in Shenzhen. In just a few years, the company has six fist products such as Huahong Ejiao Capsule, Aloe Capsule and Zhuanggu Powder.
"My fourth turning point was the most important and difficult one for me, because I chose' Cao Xian'." Yu Qiaoxian laughed.
The so-called "Cao Xian", whose scientific name is Dendrobium candidum (also known as dried Dendrobium candidum), ranks first among the "Nine Cao Xian in China" and is honored by the people as "Cao Xian for saving lives". Due to extremely special growth conditions, natural resources are on the verge of exhaustion. 1987 is listed as one of the key protected medicinal materials in the State Council, and it is also the only rare Chinese medicinal material with limited protection in health food made of wild plants. Artificial cultivation of Dendrobium candidum is a worldwide problem. Experts in Japan and Europe have tried hard for decades, but they have failed, so they are also called "Goldbach conjecture" in pharmacy. But it is not easy to solve this "Goldbach conjecture"! Not only the investment is huge, the growth cycle is long, but also the survival rate is surprisingly low. After three or five years, it will probably be empty.
But Yu Qiaoxian has a stubborn temper that he never looks back when he sees it. 1September, 1997, she hired Professor Zhang Zhiguo, the former Zhejiang Academy of Medical Sciences, who has the reputation of "the first person to study Dendrobium candidum in China" as the technical director, and established the Dendrobium candidum Research Institute in Yiwu. A group of people worked in the ruins of a brick and tile factory in the west of Yiwu. Later, Yu Qiaoxian established Zhejiang Senyu Bioengineering Co., Ltd. and invested in scientific and technological research.
After more than a year, the accumulated investment is nearly 5 million yuan, and the stem of Dendrobium candidum only grows a few centimeters. She doesn't know: Is there any hope in this matter? Is Dendrobium candidum really as difficult to grow as people say? With this question, Yu Qiaoxian came to Shanghai Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
I heard that Yu Qiaoxian is Dendrobium candidum. An expert from the institute casually asked, "What is the survival rate?" "98%。" Several experts got a fright and immediately gathered around with notebooks, asking questions around Yu Qiaoxian, which surprised her.
A month later, the experts came to Yiwu Dendrobium Research Institute. Experts in Shanghai were very excited when they saw the surviving "grass": they spent five or six years, but they failed to cultivate it in the field. Yu Qiaoxian succeeded in it for more than a year, and experts in Shanghai were amazed.
400 days and nights of hard work have not been in vain. After solving the industrial high-yield cultivation technology of Dendrobium candidum, from 200 1, Senyu Company planted Dendrobium candidum in Jinhua and Yiwu, which solved the shortage of Dendrobium candidum resources in one fell swoop. In 2003, rare medicinal material Dendrobium candidum. In 2000, Senyou was selected as the "National Pharmacopoeia" standard. In 2004, Moriyamada Fengdou was patented in China National Intellectual Property Administration.
The successful research and development of Dendrobium candidum shocked the Chinese medicine community and top authoritative experts at home and abroad. Lu Yongxiang, vice chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC) and former president of China Academy of Sciences, led more than 20 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences on field trips, which was well received. He said to Qiaoxian: "If you want to make Dendrobium candidum industry bigger and better, bring products to the market and benefit the people, I will let experts from Chinese Academy of Sciences help you solve any difficulties."
At present, the Dendrobium candidum base in Senyu has reached more than 1 1,000 mu (1 mu is about115 hectares), which bears the national tenth five-year plan. The series of "Senshan" Dendrobium candidum granules and capsules developed by the company have been sold all over the country, which has had a strong impact on the health care products market. Yu Qiaoxian's Zhejiang Senyu Holding Group Co., Ltd. owns 10 wholly-owned subsidiaries such as Senyu Industrial Company, Senyu Pharmaceutical Company, Senyu Bioengineering Company, Shenzhen Jinzhikang Health Food Co., Ltd. and Hong Kong Huahong Investment Group Co., Ltd., among which only the sales of Tian Fengdou exceeded 10 billion yuan, making Yu Qiaoxian a wonder woman in business.
Learn Chinese characters, smell the fragrance and know the plum by the lake.
In 2003, due to the intermediary of Dendrobium candidum, Yu Qiaoxian was lucky enough to meet the international celebrity Ms. Chen Xiangmei and left three stories about Xiang Mei.
In recent years, Chen Xiangmei, who is committed to the exchange of folk culture between China and the United States, has developed a strong interest in the magical and broad Chinese medicine culture of the motherland. She has repeatedly mentioned to her private secretary in China, Mr. Chen, that she hopes to find a partner engaged in research and development of Chinese medicine culture in China, so as to promote and carry forward the profound Chinese medicine culture of the motherland overseas.
It's a thousand miles away to meet. In August, 2003, at a friend's party, Teacher Chen overheard the legendary entrepreneurial story of Cao Xian planted by Yu Qiaoxian, and suddenly had a strong desire to know more about this "Jiangnan Fairy". He rushed to Yiwu and found Yu Qiaoxian, and listened to the inarticulate "fairy" telling the story of her planting "Xiancao" in simple language.
The lecture, unconsciously, lasted for eight hours. Mr. Chen couldn't restrain his excitement: "You are the person who asked Ms. Mei." He immediately picked up the phone and dialed Ms. Chen Xiangmei from the United States to tell her the good news. I was very happy to hear from Ms. Mei, and asked him to determine the form and framework of cooperation as soon as possible, and immediately set about arranging her meeting with Yu Qiaoxian. She wants to meet the "Jiangnan Fairy" who is her soul mate.
The content, framework and form of cooperation were quickly determined, which received strong support from government departments and progressed very smoothly. In September, 2003, Xiangmei Chinese Medicine Culture Research Association, as the crystallization of cooperation, was announced to be established in Yiwu, the hometown of Zhu Danxi, with its headquarters in Hangzhou. The seminar will be devoted to the exploration, excavation, research, promotion and promotion of Chinese medicine culture in the motherland, so that Chinese medicine can go global and benefit mankind.
From June 5, 2003 to1October 38, 2003, Ms. Chen Xiangmei was invited to attend the opening ceremony of China Western Expo held in Chengdu. She made a special trip to Hangzhou, revisited the beautiful West Lake where she and General Chennault settled, and met her old friend Yu Qiaoxian for many years.
Chen Xiangmei was very excited. A private enterprise had such lofty aspirations and grand blueprints, and even said, "It's not simple, it's not simple! You are writing a new legend. " When leaving, Chen Xiangmei took Yu Qiaoxian's hand and said, "Next time I have the opportunity, I must go to Cao Xian's hometown to explore the mystery of Cao Xian."
Time flies, the moment of reunion is coming ―― This is May 2004, when Yu Qiaoxian and Chen Xiangmei reunited on the picturesque Huangpu River in Shanghai. Since becoming attached to Moriyama and serving as honorary chairman of the company, Chen Xiangmei has always had a soft spot for Moriyama's Fengmen.
On October 23rd, 65438/kloc-0, Yu Qiaoxian made a special trip to Shanghai to celebrate Ms. Chen Xiangmei's 60th and 80th birthdays.
When he left, Yu Qiaoxian reported to Chen Xiangmei the current good development trend of Moriyama Tiepi Fengdou and the operation of Xiangmei Chinese Medicine Culture Research Association. "Century Building, the new headquarters of Senyu Group, is located in Gongshu District, Hangzhou, with a height of 2 1 floor. Planning has begun and construction will start in the second half of this year. In the future, Hangzhou will be the company's headquarters and R&D, export, marketing and cultural base, Jinhua will be the production base, and Yiwu will be the logistics and planting base. " Yu Qiaoxian said. Chen Xiangmei was very happy. She earnestly charged: "The research and promotion of Chinese medicine culture in the motherland has a long way to go. You must persevere and persevere, and I will always pay attention to you. "
