On September 14, the provincial disaster reduction center formed a working group to rush to the hardest hit area in Ceheng County to verify the disaster situation and guide the post-disaster recovery and reconstruction work. The working group learned about the disaster situation in severely affected towns such as Maqiao and Yata, learned about the transfer and resettlement of the affected people and the implementation of emergency relief measures through field visits and discussions with villagers, and listened to the report of the local civil affairs department on the recent disaster prevention, mitigation and relief work in Ceheng County, requiring the local civil affairs department to be open and transparent in distributing relief materials, accept social supervision, and ensure the safety of sanitation, food, drinking water and geological environment of the affected people's resettlement sites. The working group requires local civil affairs departments to actively work with disaster-affected departments to scientifically plan and formulate post-disaster recovery and reconstruction plans, and do a solid and efficient job in post-disaster relief and recovery and reconstruction.
