How to be an excellent assistant editor?
I have been an assistant editor for more than six years. It is not easy! For more than six years, I have insisted on inheriting civilization as my own responsibility and keeping the truth as my new purpose. I have made unremitting efforts to edit some supplementary books, which have been well received and trusted by readers. Back and forth, there are many bumps and gains. I don't know where I am. My goal is to be an excellent editor. What is a good editor? What I want to say is my understanding of our editor. Some people say that "editors are military commanders", while others say that editors are artists, saints and bloggers. I don't want to classify the editor who is teaching assistant as "home", which is far from it! Others think that editing is divided into two levels: editing and supernumerary. What are we? I don't think so. We are just ascetic monks walking in the front line of teaching assistants. Maybe we are excellent, because we have been nourished by a large number of teachers all over the country and have been learning from them. Whether it is knowledge explanation, teaching level or test questions, we are not inferior to front-line teachers. However, most of us have no thoughts, just like a soulless body, always imitating other people's thoughts. All we do is to be busy every day and be slaves to others. What shall we do? What shall I do? Only when you figure this out can you become an excellent editor. As for teaching AIDS, a good editor has no definition. I have an encouragement here during this period: to be a "five-hearted" editor. 1. Love: Love your work, love your work, and care about readers. "Casting the first brand of China teaching assistants with wisdom and love" is the goal and pursuit of our group, and it should also be the goal and pursuit of each of us. This requires us to cherish a love: love our job, love our job, and care for readers. Full of sincere concern for the next generation of the motherland. Love their jobs and be loyal to their duties, because their work is closely related to the development of the motherland and the next generation of the motherland. Ordinary posts and extraordinary achievements can turn decadence into magic and mediocrity into elegance. Cherish the motherland, care for readers and cultivate broad love. A benevolent person loves his work, and a lover loves his work first. 2. Conscience: Be worthy of yourself, readers and responsibilities. Conscience is a sense of responsibility, the foundation of success and the premise of doing a good job. Imagine that people who have no sense of responsibility for their work can never do their work well. Work requires a sense of responsibility, because with a sense of responsibility, you will try your best to do your job well. Readers need a sense of responsibility, because with a sense of responsibility, you will be responsible for readers! 3. Careful: planning, manuscript selection, manuscript assembly, manuscript processing and sorting should be careful, so as to create high-quality products with practical value. Collect and study relevant editing and publishing information, and put forward planning suggestions or opinions. Select and assemble manuscripts according to the overall editing concept and column structure. Editors run through marketing consciousness and elements in manuscript processing, increase demand value or reduce cost in their own work, and do practical things for readers. Create practical high-quality products for readers. 4. Careful: carefully revise and correct, eliminate mistakes, be meticulous and accurate. Although the sentence "details determine success or failure" is logically problematic, it has its own reason from the perspective of daily thinking. In the process of editing a manuscript, the success or failure of many problems, especially small problems, often depends on a small detail. This requires us to carefully revise and proofread the manuscript without any restrictions. It can really be described as "walking on thin ice" and "paying attention step by step and always caring". 5. Ambition: Have goals and pursuits, and be an excellent editor. It is not easy to define "excellent editor" accurately, because from different angles, there are different scales to measure whether an editor is excellent or not. But when we look at it from a macro perspective, we can still define "excellent editors", that is, "an editor who can lead a large group of people to think with you is an excellent editor." We should be an excellent editor, an excellent teaching assistant editor, with such aspirations, such goals, such pursuits, hard work and continuous practice. If we become "five-hearted" editors, then we will become an excellent assistant editor.
