This used to be the most famous business district in Chengdu. In the past, posters of Jincheng Art Palace in Tianfu Square were hung everywhere, and the crowd was always so noisy.

In 1950s and 1960s, the unique geographical location of department stores was one of the symbols of Chengdu at that time. Department stores built in the 1980s are crowded with people every day, and their status can be imagined. In an era when people's income is only 500 yuan, its annual sales amount is as high as 300 million yuan, and it is a veritable tax collector. After the reform, department stores no longer dominated, and other shopping malls opened one after another.
