Life Reading New Knowledge Sanlian Bookstore (hereinafter referred to as Sanlian Bookstore) is a publishing house with a long history. Its predecessor was three bookstores founded in Shanghai by Mr. Zou Taofen, the originator of the modern new culture movement, namely Life Bookstore, Xinzhi Bookstore and Reading Life Publishing House, which were established in 1932 and 1935 respectively. Sanlian Bookstore has always taken Mr. Zou Taofen's life bookstore tenet-"serving readers wholeheartedly" as its motto. Mr. Zou Taofen emphasized that "service spirit is the cornerstone of life bookstore" and management, and regarded himself as a "good friend of readers" for a long time. As early as 1935, he started the telephone book purchase business for the convenience of readers, which was the first in China.

The relationship between Beijing Sanlian Bookstore and Jin Yong: 1994, Beijing Sanlian Bookstore obtained the exclusive authorization of Jin Yong and began to publish Jin Yong's works in Chinese mainland (*** 12 kinds of 36 volumes, with a full set price of 688 yuan). Since then, Jin Yong's works have been opened in the mainland market, and Beijing Sanlian Bookstore has also made a fortune. Later, the copyright was transferred to Guangzhou Publishing House, and Guangzhou Publishing House and Huacheng Publishing House jointly published a new edition of Jin Yong's works.
