(3) A series of subject indexing techniques and methods are explored. The combination and citation order of titles, the establishment form of compound titles and the indexing methods of various documents are the reference basis for establishing various titles.

(4) The Cataloguing Department of the Library of Congress is responsible for regularly revising and preparing manuals and other supporting reference books to ensure the consistency and standardization of their use.

(5) The Library of Congress uses LCSH titles in its printed cards, machine-readable catalogues and cataloguing data of western books in print, which greatly expands its influence and makes it the most widely used thesaurus abroad.
