Jingmen Library is located at No.48 Xiangshan Avenue (between No.1 Xiangshan Road and No.2 Xiangshan Road), opposite to the Second People's Hospital. Jingmen City Library was formed by merging the former Jingmen County Library and 1984 county-level city library. 1993, the new building was started, 1998 was completed and officially opened to the public in June 2000. Internal institutions include office, editorial department, loan department, newspaper office, automation service department, children's department, research and consulting department, local literature collection center, Hubei Beer Literature Center (branch library, located in Hubei Jinlongquan Beer Group) and frontier library. There are social science lending rooms, natural science lending rooms, newspaper reading rooms, children's lending rooms, electronic reading rooms, reference books and foreign books lending rooms in Hong Kong and Taiwan, local literature lending rooms, back issue information retrieval rooms, grass-roots libraries, newspaper libraries, library science research rooms, study rooms and other 12 service windows.
