Basic information: 1994, Academician Lu Jiaxi, Vice Chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC), wrote the name of our library. In recent years, the relevant ministries and commissions in the State Council and the Anhui Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government have attached great importance to the construction and development of our library, conducted many investigations and allocated special funds, and fully affirmed the collection and collation of ancient Chinese medicine books in our library.

There are two museums in the East New District, with a building area of10.5 million square meters and a building area of more than 40,000 square meters. The new Shaoquan Lake Museum has started construction. Now there are six departments: editorial department, reader service department, special collection department, technical support department, information consultation department and office.

At present, there are 40 full-time employees, including 27 masters and bachelors, and 7 middle and senior titles/kloc-0, initially forming a professional and technical team with reasonable structure.

The business work has been fully automated, and all-round information services such as borrowing, reading, reference, information retrieval, reader education, and document reproduction have been carried out through ways such as branch library collection, open-shelf borrowing, integration of collection and reading, electronic monitoring, and network management.
