A Brief Introduction to the Author of Badger's Gift
Susan Wallace 196 1 was born in Blackpool, England. I like painting very much since I was a child, so naturally, after completing compulsory education, I chose to study illustration at Manchester Institute of Technology. Four years of college life, surrounded by mentors and friends, has a decisive impact on her future development. 1984, when she was a college student, she finished her first picture book, The Badger's Gift (described above). As soon as the book came out, it was a blockbuster and sensationalized the whole art world. Susan Wallace not only won the first prize of Mother Goose Newcomer Award, but also won many awards in France. In Japan alone, its sales exceeded 500,000 copies. Later, she successively created a series of stories featuring badgers, such as The Badger's Party with Something (1994), which became a popular children's book in Japan. His major works are Monster Bed (1986).

She is now one of the most famous painters in Britain. She lives in Manchester and paints picture books for Andersen Publishing Company.
