Compared with Wen Yiduo and others, Liang Shiqiu, who has almost no "two-pronged" ambition, is indeed more suitable for hiding in the small building at No.7 Yushan Road (now No.33) to study hard. As a gentleman and celebrity, Liang Shiqiu is really attached to the beautiful and clean Qingdao. He said: "I have lived in Qingdao for four years, and the past is like smoke. Now, after half a century, the personnel are completely different, and the mountains and rivers are different.

In the early 1930s, Liang Shiqiu lived in Qingdao University when he was the director of the Foreign Languages Department and the librarian. He wrote and published The Collection of Literary Criticism and began to translate the complete works of Shakespeare. There are trees planted by Liang Shiqiu in the hospital There is a nameplate set up by Qingdao Cultural Relics Bureau at the entrance of the former residence. Liang Shiqiu thinks that four years in Qingdao is the happiest period of his family. He also thinks that Qingdao is the best tourist destination for China from northern Xinjiang to southern Guangdong. Mr. Liang Shiqiu, a master of language and writer, not only lived here for four years, but also planted gloomy trees in the yard.

Liang Shiqiu (1902-1987)1August 1930 to1August 1934 served as the director and librarian of the Foreign Languages Department of Qingdao University. He loved the works of Shakespeare, a great British dramatist, so the library of Qingdao University at that time had the largest collection of Shakespeare's works, with various Chinese and foreign versions. From then on, Liang Shiqiu began to translate the complete works of Shakespeare after teaching and work, and only translated two books a year. This huge translation project was interrupted after he left Qingdao. Until 1967, Liang Shiqiu finally translated all 40 volumes of complete works of Shakespeare in Taiwan Province Province. During his stay in Qingdao, he also created and published the Collection of Literary Criticism.

Liang Shiqiu is hospitable, and Yang Zhensheng and Wen Yiduo are frequent visitors. Hu Shi came to Qingdao from Beijing, lived in the "Wan Guo Sanatorium" at Jinkou Road 1 not far from Liang Jia, and visited Liang Jia several times.

Mr. Liang Shiqiu loves Qingdao very much and thinks Qingdao is the best place for China to travel from northern Xinjiang to southern Guangdong. In his later years in Taiwan Province Province, he even mentioned the happy life in Qingdao in more than twenty articles. On his desk in Taiwan Province, there is a bottle of sea sand that is regarded as a treasure. This is a gift that Mr. Liang Shiqiu's daughter Liang brought back to Qingdao for her father at the beach.
